    Abstract

    Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi dengan kurangnya pemanfaatan media pembelajaran serta pemanfaatan lingkungan peserta didik dalam pembelajaran matematika pada materi bangun ruang. Penggunaan media pembelajaran di sekolah hanya menggunakan media pembelajaran yang memanfaatkan barang-barang bekas seperti kardus serta media cetak menggunakan kertas HVS dan gambar, sehingga diperlukan media pembelajaran visual yang lain untuk membantu proses pembelajaran dan memanfaatkan lingkungan sekitar peserta didik seperti budaya pada makanan tradisional. Pembelajaran matematika yang dikaitkan dengan budaya disebut dengan etnomatematika. Tujuan dari penelitian ini mengembangkan media flashcard geometri berbasis etnomatematika makanan tradisional Sunda di kelas I Sekolah Dasar dengan menggunakan desain penelitian Educational Design Research (EDR) model McKenney & Reeves (2012) terdiri dari 3 tahapan diantaranya: 1) tahap analisis dan eksplorasi, 2) tahap desain dan kontruksi, 3) tahap evaluasi dan refleksi. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui wawancara, observasi, angket, studi dokumen, expert judgment, dan uji coba produk. Penelitian ini dirancang dengan memperhatikan fungsi dari media flashcard yang dilengkapi dengan gambar menarik, deskripsi gambar, variasi warna berbeda sesuai dengan konsep yang dikembangkan. Hasil yang diperoleh berdasarkan hasil validasi ahli, angket respon guru, dan respon peserta didik menunjukkan bahwa media layak untuk digunakan dalam proses pembelajaran di sekolah dasar. Uji coba penelitian ini dilakukan dua uji coba pada sekolah yang berbeda yaitu SDN 2 Cijulang dan SDN 2 Sukamaju dengan memperoleh respon positif yaitu peserta didik dalam pembelajaran lebih antusias, semangat, lebih mudah memahami materi geometri bangun ruang, lebih fokus, aktif, dan motivasi belajar yang tinggi dalam mengikuti proses pembelajaran pada materi geometri bangun ruang.

    This research is motivated by the lack of utilization of learning media and utilization of the environment of students in learning mathematics on the material of building space. The use of learning media at school only uses learning media that utilize used items such as cardboard and printed media using HVS paper and pictures, so other visual learning media are needed to assist the learning process and utilize the environment around students such as culture in traditional food. Math learning associated with culture is called ethnomathematics. The purpose of this study was to develop geometry flashcards based on Sundanese traditional food ethnomathematics in grade I Elementary School using the Educational Design Research (EDR) research design of the McKenney & Reeves (2012) model consisting of 3 stages including: 1) analysis and exploration stage, 2) design and construction stage, 3) evaluation and reflection stage. Data collection techniques were conducted through interviews, observations, questionnaires, document studies, expert judgment, and product trials. This research was designed by paying attention to the function of flashcard media equipped with attractive images, image descriptions, different color variations according to the concepts developed. The results obtained based on the results of expert validation, teacher response questionnaires, and student responses show that the media is suitable for use in the learning process in elementary schools. The trial of this research was conducted two trials at different schools, namely SDN 2 Cijulang and SDN 2 Sukamaju by obtaining a positive response, namely students in learning more enthusiastic, enthusiastic, easier to understand the material of geometry wake space, more focused, active, and high learning motivation in following the learning process on the material of geometry wake space.
