Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peningkatan pemahaman multikultur siswa kelas XI SMA Negeri 7 Tangerang setelah melalui penerapan model pembelajaran kritik tari. Pendekatan yang diterapkan dalam penelitian ini adalah kualitatif, sedangkan metode yang digunakan adalah Action Research model Jerrold E. Kemp. Penelitian ini mengambil sampel sejumlah 40 siswa kelas XI IPA 4 SMA Negeri 7 Tangerang. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pemahaman multikultur siswa dapat ditingkatkan melalui penerapan model pembelajaran kritik tari. Terdapat tiga aspek multikultur yaitu, pemahaman, penghargaan dan penilaian. Indikator ketercapaian ketiga aspek tersebut dilihat dari pemahaman ragam gerak, busana dan musik dari masing – masing daerah, pemahaman keterkaitan teks dengan konteks tari, menghargai perbedaan antar budaya, dapat melihat keunikan dari setiap daerah dan pendapat mengenai perbedaan keunikan antar budaya maupun budaya yang sama. Peningkatan pemahaman multikultur siswa dilihat dari kritik lisan dan tulisan. Kata Kunci : Kritik Tari, Pemahaman Multikultur Objective of this research is to find out about second year Student of SMA Negeri 7 Tangerang increase of multi culture comprehension after they have been applied with critical dance study model. The approaching technic that has been applied in this research is qualitative, whereas the method that has been used is Jerrold E. Kemp Action Research Model. This research has been taken of 40 samples of second year student in SMA Negeri 7 Tangerang. The results show that the student comprehension can be increased by using the critical dance study model. There are 3 multi culture aspects, comprehension, appreciation, and evaluation. The indicator of achievement from that 3 aspects can be seen from their comprehension about range of motion in dance, clothing and music from each region, ctext related to dance context, appreciate the differences between cultures, can see the uniqueness of each region, and giving opinion about the differences uniqueness between culture or their own culture. Their increasing of multi culture comprehension can be seen from audio and text critics. Keyword : Dance Critical, Multiculture Understanding
