PENGGUNAAN MEDIA TAYANGAN RAGAM INDONESIA DENGAN TEKNIK TRANSFORMASI SEBAGAI UPAYA MENINGKATKAN KEMAMPUAN MENYUSUN TEKS TANGGAPAN DESKRIPTIF: Penelitian Tindakan Kelas terhadap Siswa Kelas VII-D SMP Negeri 44 Bandung Tahun Ajaran 2013/2014

    Abstract

    Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh masalah yang terdapat dalam pembelajaran menyusun teks tanggapan deskriptif, yaknisiswa kesulitan dalam menemukan dan mengembangkan ide atau gagasan ke dalam sebuah tulisan, siswa kurang menguasai struktur dan kaidah teks tanggapan deskriptif, serta media dan teknik pembelajaran yang digunakan kurang bervariasi sehingga tidak menarik minat belajar siswa. Penelitian ini berupaya untuk meningkatkan kemampuan siswa dalam menyusun teks tanggapan deskriptif melaluipenggunaan media tayangan Ragam Indonesia dengan teknik transformasi. Metode yang digunakan adalah penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK). Penelitian ini dilakukan di SMP Negeri 44 Bandung. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VII-D yang berjumlah 37 orang. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan terjadi peningkatan kemampuan siswa dalam menyusun teks tanggapan deskriptif selama tiga siklus penelitian.Pada siklus I nilai rata-rata teks tanggapan deskriptif siswa yakni2,50. Pada siklus II nilai rata-rata teks tanggapan deskriptif siswa meningkat menjadi 2,93. Kemudian, nilai rata-rata teks tanggapan deskriptif siswa kembali meningkat pada siklus III menjadi 3,16.

    This research based on the three problems in learning of descriptive text, which consist ofstudent’s difficulties to find and develop their idea or concept into the text,the students had less knowledgeaboutthe structure and the rules of descriptive text, and the use of media and technique of learning was not various so it didn’t motivate the students to study. This research attempted to increase student’s writing skill in creating descriptive text by implementing media Ragam Indonesia’s show with transformation technique. The methodology used in the research was classroom action research (CAR). This research was conducted in SMPNegeri 44 Bandung with its 37 seventh-grader students as the subject of the research.The result of the research showed that there was an enhancement of student’s skill in writing descriptive text. This enhancement could be seen from the result of student’stask score in three cycles of the research. In the first cycle, the average of the student’s descriptive textscore was 2,50. In the second cycle, the average score was increase to 2,93.And in the third cycle, the average score was increase to 3,16.
