Abstract
Kemampuan kognitif merupakan kemampuan yang penting untuk dikembangkan pada jenjang PAUD. Pada TK Kemala Bhayangkari 05 Kota Serang, terlihat bahwa kemampuan kognitif anak dalam mengenalkan bilangan belum optimal sehingga memerlukan bantuan untuk membilang angka. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan kognitif melalui aktivitas bermain puzzle angka pada anak usia 4-5 tahun. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan metode campuran atau mix method dengan metode penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK) dengan subjek penelitian yaitu 8 anak usia 4-5 tahun yang terdiri dari 4 anak laki-laki, 4 anak perempuan serta 1 guru kelas. Teknik pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini berupa observasi dan dokumentasi. Hasil observasi menyatakan kemampuan kognitif anak usia 4-5 tahun di TK Kemala Bhayangkari 05 Kota Serang meningkat. Pada tahap pra siklus, kemampuan mengenal bilangan anak pada kriteria belum berkembang dengan nilai 35%. Namun setelah diberikan tindakan kelas siklus I menggunakan media puzzle, kemampuan mengenal bilangan anak mencapai nilai 53% dengan kriteria mulai berkembang dan siklus II mengalami peningkatan dengan nilai 85% kriteria berkembang sangat baik. Dengan demikian penggunaan media puzzle dapat dijadikan media pembelajaran dalam meningkatkan kemampuan pengenalan angka pada anak usia 4-5 tahun. :
Cognitive abilities are important abilities to be developed at the PAUD level. At Kemala Bhayangkari 05 Kindergarten, Serang City, it was seen that children's cognitive abilities in recognizing numbers were not optimal so they needed help to count numbers. This research aims to improve cognitive abilities through the activity of playing number puzzles in children aged 4-5 years. This research uses a mixed method approach with classroom action research (PTK) methods with research subjects namely 8 children aged 4-5 years consisting of 4 boys, 4 girls and 1 class teacher. Data collection techniques in this research are observation and documentation. Observation results show that the cognitive abilities of children aged 4-5 years at Kindergarten Kemala Bhayangkari 05 Serang City have increased. At the pre-cycle stage, children's ability to recognize numbers according to the criteria has not yet developed with a value of 35%. However, after being given class action in the first cycle using puzzle media, the child's ability to recognize numbers reached a score of 53% with the criteria starting to develop and in the second cycle there was an increase with a score of 85%, the criteria for developing very well. Thus, the use of puzzle media can be used as a learning medium to improve the cognitive abilities of children aged 4-5 years.
