Abstract
Kata Kunci: model pembelajaran Problem Based Instruction, tema Peduli terhadap Makhluk Hidup, learning obstacle, Didactical Design Research. Effected by the necessity of teachers able to develop models of learning Problem Based Instruction to overcome learning difficulties of students especially on thematic learning theme care about the living things in the fourth grade of elementary school. For the currrent study aims to develop model of learning problem based instruction on such thematic learning by using the Didactical Design Research (DDR) method consists of three stages include analysis of situation analysis, metapedadidaktik analysis, and retrospective analysis. The subject of this research on the teachers and students of class IVA and IVB SD Negeri 1 Kawali, Kawali Ciamis District. Data collection techniques are implemented by using the technique of triangulation include test questions, observations, interviews, questionnaires, and study the documentation. The results showed that after the implementation of design models of learning Problem Based Instruction 1 and 2 produce a learning device that is able to minimize learning obstacle of students in the theme of Caring for living things. For it researchers recommend to the teachers grade IV elementary schools so that it can be used learning devices and developed back resulting in a quality learning devices. Keywords: model of learning Problem Based Instruction, the theme of Caring for living thing, learning obstacle, Didactical Design Research.
