Abstract

Keterampilan Bahasa Indonesia memiliki empat keterampilan, yaitu menyimak, berbicara, menulis, dan membaca. Dari semua keterampilan Bahasa, yang paling penting yaitu keterampilan menyimak. Pada penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui: (1) proses pembelajaran menyimak dengan menerapkan model pembelajaran Problem Based Learning (PBL) berbantuan media audio visual pada siswa kelas V SDN 01 Karangmekar. (2) kemampuan menyimak siswa kelas V SDN 01 Karangmekar dengan menerapkan model pembelajaran Problem Based Learning (PBL) berbantuan media audio visual. Desain yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah desain PTK model Kemmis & Mc. Taggart yang terdiri dari perencanaan, tindakan, observasi, dan refleksi. Penelitian ini berlangsung selama 2 siklus yang diawali dengan pra siklus. Metode pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah observasi dan tes. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan model pembelajaran berbasis masalah berbantuan media audio visual dapat meningkatkan kemampuan menyimak cerita fiksi siswa kelas V SDN Karangmekar 01. Pada siklus I diperoleh rata-rata 64% dan pada siklus II sebesar 85%, peningkatan yang diperoleh sebesar 21%. Berdasarkan penelitian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa Penerapan model problem based learning berbantuan media audio visual memberikan peningkatan yang sangat baik sehingga model pembelajaran problem based learning ini sangat layak digunakan dalam proses pembelajaran. Pada penelitian berikutnya diharapkan dapat berfokus pada indikator-indikator kemampuan menyimak agar lebih sesuai dengan proses pembelajaran yang akan dilaksanakan. ----- Indonesian language skills have four skills, namely listening, speaking, writing, and reading. Of all the language skills, the most important is listening skills. This study aims to determine: (1) the process of learning to listen by applying the Problem Based Learning (PBL) learning model assisted by audio-visual media to grade V students of SDN 01 Karangmekar. (2) the ability to listen to fifth grade students of SDN 01 Karangmekar by applying the Problem Based Learning (PBL) learning model assisted by audio visual media. The design used in this research is the Kemmis & Mc. Taggart model which consists of planning, action, observation, and reflection. This research took place over 2 cycles which began with a pre-cycle. The data collection methods used were observation and tests. The results showed that the application of problem-based learning model assisted by audio-visual media can improve the ability to listen to fiction stories of fifth grade students of SDN Karangmekar 01. In cycle I, an average of 64% was obtained and in cycle II it was 85%, an increase of 21%. Based on the research, it can be concluded that the application of the problem-based learning model assisted by audio-visual media provides a very good improvement so that this problem-based learning model is very feasible to use in the learning process. The next research is expected to focus on indicators of listening ability to be more in accordance with the learning process to be implemented.
