Abstract
Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian tindakan kelas, model siklus yang terdiri dari 2 siklus, tiap siklus terdiri dari perencanaan pembelajaran, pelaksanaan tindakan, observasi, serta refleksi. Instrumen yang dipergunakan terdiri berasal wawancara, observasi, serta lembar tes individu, dilatarbelakangi oleh keterampilan sosial siswa pada mata pelajaran Ilmu Pengetahuan Sosial masih rendah serta kurang mencukupi kriteria ketuntasan belajar minimum (KKM) yaitu 75. Kendala keterampilan sosial antara lain : (a) Siswa tidak terbiasa dalam memecahkan permasalahan, (b) Siswa tidak terbiasa mengeluarkan argumentasi. (c) Pembelajaran yang bersifat satu arah yakni penjelasan dari guru saja. Pembelajaran yang telah direncanakan oleh guru sulit menemukan pendekatan dan metode yang sesuai dengan materi. Untuk mengantisipasi fenomena tersebut dalam penelitian ini diterapkanlah pendekatan contectual teaching and learning (CTL)dalam meningkatkan keterampilan sosial siswa pada pelajaran IPS. Penerapan pendekatan contextual teaching and learning merupakan suatu strategi guru dalam membangun keantusisan belajar siswa dengan melihat secara langsung nyata apa yang ia pelajari, membangun pengetahuan sendiri secara terus menerus akan membentuk pengalaman, dengan pengalaman tersebut siswa dapat menyelesaikan permasalahan, adapun metode bermain (Role Playing) suatu metode penguat pembelajaran yang dapat menjadi pencair ketegangan dalam pembelajaran yang lebih menyenangkan, siswa dapat menguasai bahan ajar serta ekspresi siswa yang dikeluarkan secara spontan, membentuk aktivitas pembelajaran bersama sama, kekompakan dikarenakan seluruh siswa diikut sertakan dalam bermain peran dan memperkuat sikap sosial siswa dalam kehidupan nyata. Penerapan pendekatan CTL bisa memberikan dampak baik bagi siswa yang pandai dalam meningkatkan kemampuan diri sesuai dengan potensi yang dimilikinya, sehingga termotivasi untuk berfikir aktif, kreatif, dan inovatif, bahkan menguasai penemuan. Bagi siswa yang kurang dapat memberikan motivasi untuk belajar lebih giat kembali karena penasaran dan selalu ingin mencoba, sehingga tercapai apa yang diinginkannya. Kesimpulan yang diperoleh dalam penelitian ini adalah pada kondisi awal pembelajaran memperoleh nilai rata rata 65,17, pada siklus pertama nilai rata rata pra siklus 67,58 dan tindakan siklus pertama 87,24 meningkat 22,07. Pada siklus kedua nilai rata rata pra siklus 87,58 dan tindakan siklus kedua 91 meningkat 3,76. Secara keseluruhan pembelajaran IPS dengan penerapan pendekatan kontekstual mengalami peningkatan keterampilan sosial yang relatif signifikan baik dalam proses pembelajaran siswa. ----- This research is a class action research, a cycle model consisting of 2 cycles, each cycle consists of lesson planning, action implementation, observation, and reflection. The instruments used consist of interviews, observations, and individual test sheets, motivated by students' social skills in Social Studies subjects are still low and do not meet the minimum learning completeness criteria (KKM) of 75: (a) Students are not used to solving problems, (b) Students are not used to issuing arguments. (c) One-way learning, namely explanation from the teacher only. Learning that has been planned by the teacher is difficult to find approaches and methods that are appropriate to the material. To anticipate these phenomena in this study applied contectual teaching and learning (CTL) approach in improving students' social skills in social studies lessons. The application of the contextual teaching and learning approach is a teacher strategy in building student learning enthusiasm by seeing firsthand what they are learning, building their own knowledge continuously will form experience, with this experience students can solve problems, while the role playing method is a learning reinforcement method that can be a tension-breaker in learning that is more fun, students can master teaching materials and student expressions issued spontaneously, forming joint learning activities, cohesiveness because all students are included in role playing and strengthening students' social attitudes in real life. The application of the CTL approach can have a good impact on students who are good at improving their abilities according to their potential, so that they are motivated to think actively, creatively, and innovatively, even mastering discoveries. For students who are less able to provide motivation to study harder again because they are curious and always want to try, so that they achieve what they want. The conclusions obtained in this study are in the initial conditions of learning obtained an average score of 65.17, in the first cycle the pre-cycle average score was 67.58 and the first cycle action was 87.24, an increase of 22.07. In the second cycle the pre-cycle average value of 87.58 and the second cycle action 91 increased by 3.76. Overall, social studies learning with the application of contextual approaches has increased relatively significant social skills both in the student learning process.
