Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh rendahnya hasil belajar IPS yang dicapai oleh peserta didik sekolah dasar. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui efektivitas penggunaan model pembelajaran AIR (Auditory, Intellectually, Repetition) dengan video animasi dalam meningkatkan pengetahuan IPS siswa sekolah dasar. Penelitian ini dilakukan di kelas IV dengan jumlah siswa 29 siswa, termasuk 10 siswa perempuan dan 19 siswa laki-laki, di SDN Cadasmekar pada tahun ajaran 2023/2024. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) yang terdiri dari 2 siklus yang masing-masing siklus dilakukan dengan dua kali pertemuan. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Tes Hasil Belajar Kognitif siswa. Dari hasil data menunjukkan bahwa, sebelum penggunaan model pembelajaran AIR (Auditory, Intellectually, Repetition) dengan video animasi ini, persentase hasil belajar siswa adalah 10,34% dengan rata-rata kelas 40,17. Setelah dilakukannya penelitian ini, terlihat pada siklus I persentase keberhasilan siswa sebesar 44,82% dengan nilai rata-rata kelas 57,03. Pada siklus II, persentase siswa yang mencapai tujuan pembelajaran meningkat menjadi 86,20% dengan nilai rata-rata 80,41. Dari informasi yang diperoleh, dapat disimpulkan bahwa penelitian dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran AIR (Auditory, Intellectually, Repetition) berbantuan video animasi dapat memberikan pengaruh yang positif terhadap pembelajaran IPS pada siswa kelas IV SDN Cadasmekar Kabupaten Purwakarta. ----- This research is inspired by the low levels of social studies education achieved by elementary school children. The objective of this research was to determine the effectiveness of the use of the AIR (Auditory, Intellectually, Repetition) model of learning with video animation in enhancing the students' social studies knowledge of elementary school. This research was conducted in class IV with a total of 29 students, including 10 girls and 19 boys, at SDN Cadasmekar in the 2023/2024 school year. In this research, which employs the Classroom Action Research (PTK) method, which has 2 separate cycles that are conducted each time by having a meeting. The instrument employed in this investigation is the Cognitive Learning Outcomes Test of students. From the data's results, it demonstrates that, prior to the utilization of the AIR (Auditory, Intellectually, Repetition) learning model with this animated video, the percentage of student learning outcomes was 10.34% with a typical class average of 40.17. After the implementation of this research, it's apparent in cycle I that the percentage of students' successes was 44.82% with a typical score of 57.03. In cycle II, the percentage of students who achieved the learning goal increased to 86.20%, with an average score of 80.41. From the information obtained, it can be deduced that research utilizing the AIR (Auditory, Intellectually, Repetition) learning model assisted by animated videos can have a positive effect on the students' social studies learning at the fourth grade level at SDN Cadasmekar Purwakarta District.
