Abstract

Membaca merupakan salah satu yang dibutuhkan dalam pembelajar untuk kelancaran dalam kegiatan belajar mengajar. Namun perhatian dalam mengembangkan kemampuan membaca permulaan siswa masih terbatas. Oleh karena ini, perlu dikembangkanya metode pembelajaran yang sesuai salah satunya metode suku kata (syllabic method) berbantuan media digital Genilly. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kemampuan siswa dalam membaca permulaan dan pengaruh dari metode suku kata (syllabic method). Jenis penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksperimen dengan menggunakan one group pretest posttest. Populasi pada penelitian ini menggunakan teknik purposive sampling sehingga diperoleh siswa kelas 1 SDN Cemara Kulon yang berjumlah 32 siswa. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian yaitu lembar observasi guru dan siswa, modul ajar, instrumen kemampuan membaca (tes EGRA). Untuk mengumpulkan data mengenai kemampuan membaca permulaan digunakan observasi yang menguji validitas dan reliabilitasnya. Kemudian dapat melanjutkan menguji hipotesis dengan uji T , uji regresi linear, dan uji N-Gain untuk melihat seberapa besar peningkatanya. Hasil penelitian menunjukan terdapat pengaruh metode suku kata (syllabic method) berbantuan media digital Genially pengaruh yang diberikan sebesar 80.7% dengan rata rata peningkatan sebesar 0.32 dengan kategori sedang. Dari hasil deskripsi data dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh metode suku kata (syllabic method) berbantuan media digital genially terhadap kemampuan membaca permulaan siswa kelas 1 sekolah dasar. ----- Reading is something that students need for smooth teaching and learning activities. However, attention to developing students' initial reading skills is still limited. Because of this, it is necessary to develop appropriate learning methods, one of which is the syllabic method assisted by Genilly digital media. This research aims to determine students' abilities in beginning reading and the influence of the syllabic method. This type of research is experimental research using one group pretest posttest. The population in this study used a purposive sampling technique to obtain 32 grade 1 students at SDN Cemara Kulon. The instruments used in the research were teacher and student observation sheets, teaching modules, reading ability instruments (EGRA tests). To collect data regarding initial reading ability, observation is used to test its validity and reliability. So you can test the hypothesis with the T test, linear regression test, and N-Gain test to see how much the increase is. The results of the research show that there is an influence of the syllabic method (syllabic method) assisted by Genially digital media, the influence given is 80.7% with an average increase of 0.32 in the medium category. From the results of the data description, it can be concluded that there is an influence of the syllabic method (syllabic method) assisted by digital media on the initial reading ability of grade 1 elementary school students.
