Abstract

Penelitian dilakukan untuk melihat pentingnya kemampuan representasi matematis yang harus dikuasai oleh peserta didik sekolah dasar. Namun penguasaan peserta didik terhadap kemampuan ini rendah. Salah satu penyebab rendahnya adalah pendekatan pembelajaran yang digunakan guru di kelas belum menekankan keaktifan peserta didik dalam belajar. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk dapat mengetahui pengaruh dan peningkatan dengan tindakan dan kelompok yang berbeda dengan menggunakan tiga indikator kemampuan representasi matematis untuk peserta didik kelas IV sekolah dasar pada materi bangun datar. Kelompok eksperimen menggunakan pendekatan Concrete-Pictorial-Abstract berbantuan multimedia interaktif articulate storyline 3 dan kelompok kontrol menggunakan pendekatan saintifik berbantuan video animasi. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kuasi eksperimen dengan desain non-equivalent control group dan jumlah sampel sebanyak 88 orang yang menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Penelitian ini mengumpulkan dua data yang akan dianalisis yaitu data tes berupa tes kemampuan awal matematis, pre-test dan post-test sedangkan non tes berupa jurnal harian, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa peningkatan kemampuan representasi matematis yang menggunakan pendekatan CPA berbantuan multimedia interaktif articulate storyline 3 lebih baik dibandingkan dengan peserta didik yang menggunakan pembelajaran konvensional serta adanya pengaruh positif dalam menggunakan pendekatan CPA berbantuan multimedia interaktif articulate storyline 3 terhadap kemampuan representasi matematis peserta didik. Dengan demikian bahwa pendekatan CPA berbantuan multimedia interaktif articulate storyline 3 dapat menjadi salah satu alternatif yang dapat digunakan dalam pembelajaran khususnya pada kelas IV materi bangun datar. ----- Research was conducted to see the importance of mathematical representation skills that must be mastered by elementary school students. However, students' mastery of this ability is low. One of the causes of the low level is that the learning approach used by teachers in class does not emphasize students' activeness in learning. The aim of this research is to determine the influence and improvement of different actions and groups using three indicators of mathematical representation ability for fourth grade elementary school students on flat shape material. The experimental group used the approach Concrete-Pictorial-Abstract assisted by interactive multimedia articulate storyline 3 and the control group used a scientific approach assisted by animated videos. The research method used is quasi-experimental design non-equivalent control group and the total sample was 88 people who used the technique purposive sampling. This research collects two data that will be analyzed, namely test data in the form of initial mathematical ability tests, pre-test and post-test while non-tests are in the form of daily journals, interviews and documentation. The results of the research show that mathematical representation abilities using the CPA approach assisted by interactive multimedia have increased articulate storyline 3 better than students who use conventional learning and there is a positive influence in using the CPA approach assisted by interactive multimedia articulate storyline 3 on students' mathematical representation abilities. Thus, the CPA approach is assisted by interactive multimedia articulate storyline 3 can be an alternative that can be used in learning, especially in class IV flat shape material.
