Abstract

Kesadaran ekologis sangat krusial dan perlu menjadi perhatian penting apalagi di bidang pendidikan. Penelitian ini di latar belakangi oleh rendahnya kesadaran ekologis siswa kelas III di SDN Ekologi Kahuripan Padjajaran. Tujuan dari penelitian ini yaitu untuk mengetahui bagaimana penerapan pendekatan Contextual Teaching and Learning berbasis Pancaniti untuk meningkatkan kesadaran ekologis siswa, bagaimana aktivitas belajar siswa dengan menggunakan pendekatan Contextual Teaching and Learning berbasis Pancaniti, serta bagaimana peningkatan kesadaran ekologisnya. Penelitian ini merupakan Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) menggunakan model PTK dari John Elliot yang dilakukan sebanyak 2 siklus memuat aspek perencanaan, tindakan, observasi dan refleksi. Subjek penelitian ini adalah 24 orang siswa kelas III B. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan adalah dengan observasi dan tes. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kesadaran ekologis siswa mengalami peningkatan dengan persentase ketuntasan belajar pada siklus I sebesar 41,6% meningkat menjadi 87,5% pada siklus II. Hasil tes kesadaran ekologis pada siklus I memperoleh rata-rata kelas sebesar 56,67 dan meningkat pada siklus II menjadi 81,25. Selain itu, dengan penerapan pendekatan Contextual Teaching and Learning berbasis Pancaniti aktivitas guru dan aktivitas siswa juga mengalami peningkatan. Aktivitas belajar siswa pada siklus I mencapai rata-rata persentase 87,65% dan meningkat pada siklus II menjadi 100%. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa penerapan pendekatan Contextual Teaching and Learning berbasis Pancaniti dapat meningkatkan semangat dan motivasi belajar siswa, aktivitas siswa mengalami peningkatan karena pembelajaran menekankan pada pengalaman bermakna, serta mampu meningkatkan kesadaran ekologis siswa. Pendekatan Contextual Teaching and Learning berbasis Pancaniti ini bisa dijadikan alternatif pendekatan pembelajaran yang dilakukan untuk meningkatkan kesadaran ekologis siswa. ----- Ecological awareness is very crucial and needs to be a concern, especially in the field of education. This research is motivated by the low environmental awareness of third-grade students at SDN Ekologi Kahuripan Padjajaran. This study aims to determine the application of the Pancaniti-based Contextual Teaching and Learning approach to increase students' ecological awareness, how students' learning activities using the Pancaniti-based Contextual Teaching and Learning approach, and how to increase their environmental awareness. This research is a Classroom Action Research (PTK) using the PTK model from John Elliot which is carried out in as many as 2 cycles containing aspects of planning, action, observation, and reflection. The subjects of this study were 24 students of class III B. The research instruments used were observation and tests. The results showed that students' ecological awareness increased with the percentage of learning completeness in Cycle I of 41.6% increasing to 87.5% in Cycle II. The results of the environmental awareness test in cycle I obtained a class average of 56.67 and increased in cycle II to 81.25. In addition, with the application of the Pancaniti-based Contextual Teaching and Learning approach, teacher activity and student activity also increased. Student learning activities in cycle I reached an average percentage of 87.65% and increased in cycle II to 100%. Based on the study results, it can be concluded that applying the Pancaniti-based Contextual Teaching and Learning approach can increase students' enthusiasm and motivation to learn, student activity has increased because learning emphasizes meaningful experiences, and can increase students' ecological awareness. The Pancaniti-based Contextual Teaching and Learning approach can be used as an alternative learning approach to increase students' environmental awareness.
