Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menggambarkan bagaimana pengelolaan program Geliat Tibuks dapat meningkatkan minat baca dan keterampilan bercerita siswa. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan Action Research menurut Spaulding and Falco. Subjek penelitian adalah siswa kelas 4, 5 dan 6 sebanyak 50 siswa. Prosedur penelitian action research meliputi ID Building Issue, Develop a Program, Implement a Program, Gather Data to Measure Program’s Effectiveness, Reflect and Made Modifications Based on Results. Teknik pengumpulan data dengan cara wawancara, observasi, catatan lapangan, dokumentasi dan angket. Analisis data digunakan analisis kuantitatif dan kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan; 1) perencanaan program meliputi memk, bangun isu, membuat tim AR, analisis data sekolah, persepsi pihak terkait, sedangkan pengembangan program menghasilkan gerakan literasi tiga buku seminggu (Geliat Tibuks) meliputi tahapan a) peminjaman tiga buku seminggu, b) sinopsis dan pohon literasi, c) bercerita, d) reward, e) gebyar literasi dan f) kliping sinopsis, 2) implementasi program siklus 1 yaitu peminjaman 3 buku seminggu, sinopsis dan pohon literasi, dan bercerita sedangkan implementasi siklus II yaitu peminjaman 3 buku seminggu, sinopsis dan pohon literasi, bercerita, reward, gebyar literasi dan kliping sinopsis, 3) efektivitas program ditunjukkan dari hasil minat baca dan keterampilan bercerita yang meningkat, terdapat adanya perubahan pola pikir terhadap kesadaran manfaat membaca dan perubahan keterampilan bercerita terjadi pada siswa dapat lancar bercerita dengan menggunakan bahasa sehari-hari dan prosesnya pada setiap tahapan sudah sesuai prinsip kegiatan, dan 4) refleksi program yaitu perlu adanya pengarahan dan pembinaan untuk guru dalam melakukan proses kegiatan bercerita dan memotivasi siswa dalam penulisan sinopsis. Adapun modifikasi dilakukan melalui kegiatan pemberian reward mingguan bagian dari reward literasi. Implikasinya program geliat tibuks ini dapat memberi kesadaran manfaat membaca bagi siswa SD maka direkomendasikan program ini bisa dilakukan dalam menumbuhkan minat baca siswa. The research aims to describe how the Geliat Tibuks program could enhance the students’ reading interest and storytelling skills. This research uses Action Research by Spaulding and Falco as research methods, and 50 students from grades 4, 5, and 6 were examined. The action research procedure includes ID Building Issues, Developing a Program, Implementing a Program, Gathering Data to Measure Program’s effectiveness, Reflecting, and Making Modifications Based on Results. The Data Collection Techniques involve interviews, observation, field data, documentation, and questionnaires. Moreover, the data was analyzed using quantitative and qualitative methods. The result of this research shows that based on cycles 1 and cycles 2, 1). Program planning, including developing issues, creating an AR team, school data analysis, and stakeholders’ perceptions. The development of the program resulted in a literacy movement of 3 books per week (Geliat Tibuks), including stages a) borrowing 3 books a week, b) synopsis and tree literation, c) storytelling, d) rewarding, e) literacy festival and f) synopsis clipping. 2). Program Implementation of cycle 1 includes borrowing 3 books a week, synopsis and tree literation, and storytelling, while program implementation of cycle II includes borrowing 3 books a week, synopsis and tree literation, storytelling, rewarding, literacy festival, and synopsis clipping. 3). The program's effectiveness is demonstrated by the increasing rate of reading interest and storytelling skills. The students’ mindsets are changing regarding the awareness of the benefits of reading books, and they can tell the story fluently in daily languages. Each stage of the process follows activity principles. 4). The reflection of the program suggests that there is a need for training and development programs for the teachers in conducting storytelling programs and encouraging the students to write a synopsis whilst modifications are made in weekly reward activities.
