Abstract

Pemahaman membaca di kelas 5 SDN 2 Sindangkasih dianggap sulit, dan masih ada beberapa siswa yang kesulitan menjawab soal karena belum menguasai konsep pokok dan memahami makna kalimat dalam mata pelajaran Bahasa Indonesia. Proses pembelajaran dimulai dari guru, dan siswa selalu diberi tugas individu. Strategi dan model yang digunakan harus meningkatkan pembelajaran serta memotivasi siswa untuk aktif berpartisipasi dalam kegiatan pendidikan. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk memahami aktivitas siswa dan guru kelas V SDN 2 Sindangkasi dalam proses pembelajaran pemahaman membaca dengan menggunakan model Teams Games Tournament (TGT) dengan bantuan kartu bergambar, serta untuk mengevaluasi keterampilan membaca pemahaman siswa kelas V. Dua siswa dipilih dari SDN untuk belajar membaca menggunakan kartu bergambar dan mengikuti Model Teams Games Tournament (TGT). Penelitian kualitatif dan metode Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) dengan tujuan meningkatkan pembelajaran di kelas. Observasi aktivitas guru dan siswa pada Siklus I berkisar antara 83,33 hingga 95,83. Nilai belajar siswa terhadap kemampuan membaca dan memahami bahasa Indonesia juga mengalami peningkatan, berkisar antara 81,34 hingga 91,11. Penelitian ini memberikan wawasan kepada para pendidik tentang model pembelajaran kooperatif Teams Games Tournaments yang didukung media kartu bergambar, sehingga dapat meningkatkan pemahaman dan pengetahuan dalam penelitian tindakan kelas di kelas serta meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran. ----- Difficulty in reading comprehension is experienced by fifth-grade students at SDN 2 Sindangkasih, where there are still students who cannot determine the main idea and conclude the meaning of the reading text in the Indonesian language subject, so they are unable to answer the questions given. The learning that takes place originates from the teacher, and students are always given individual assignments. The strategies or models used must enhance learning and motivate students to engage in educational activities actively. The aim is to determine the activities of class V students and teachers at SDN 2 Sindangkasih in the process of learning reading comprehension using the Teams Games Tournament (TGT) model with the help of picture cards and to determine the reading comprehension abilities of class V SDN 2 students in the process of learning reading comprehension using the Teams Games Tournament model (TGT) with the help of picture cards. In this research, a qualitative approach was used and the research method was Classroom Action Research (PTK) which aims to improve learning in the classroom. In the results of observations of teacher activities in cycle I, it was 83.33 to 95.83 in cycle II. The results of observing student activities were from 83.33 in cycle I after cycle II to 95.83. Student learning outcomes for the ability to read and understand Indonesian in cycle I were 81.34 to 91.11. This research can open educators’ insight into the Teams Games Tournament type Cooperative Learning learning model assisted by picture card media to increase their understanding and knowledge about classroom action research and improve the quality of learning.
