Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk: (1) Untuk mengetahui gambaran keahlian/kompetensi yang dimiliki pegawai laut baru di PT PELNI (Persero), (2) Untuk mengetahui gambaran kesiapan kerja pegawai laut baru di PT PELNI (Persero), (3) Untuk mengetahui apakah terdapat hubungan yang positif/negatif dan signifikan antara kepemilikan sertifikat kepelautan terhadap kesiapan kerja pegawai laut baru di PT PELNI (Persero). Metode yang digunakan pada penelitian ini yaitu metode kuantitatif melalui pendekatan metode deskriptif dan metode eksplanatory. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan yaitu melalui studi literatur dan kuesioner. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan yaitu analisis deskriptif dan analisis Verifikatif melalui uji asumsi klasik. Selain itu menggunakan Uji-T dan Uji-F dalam pengujian hipotesis penelitian. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat hubungan antara variabel X (Kepemilikan Sertifikat Kepelautan) terhadap variabel Y (Kesiapan Kerja) sebesar 85,5%. Dari output tersebut diperoleh koefisien determinasi (R Square) sebesar 73,1% yang artinya bahwa pengaruh variabel bebas terhadap variabel terikat sebesar 73,1% dan sisanya dipengaruhi oleh faktor lainnya diluar penelitian. Berdasarkan hasil uji signifikansi dan hipotesis menggunakan uji-F diketahui bahwa tingkat signifikansi sebesar 0,001<0,05. Maka, ada pengaruh antara variabel X terhadap variabel Y. Gambaran terhadap kepemilikan sertifikat kepelautan secara keseluruhan menunjukkan pada kategori baik yang diukur dari beberapa dimensi yaitu Knowledge, Understanding, Skills, Value, Attitude dan Interest. Dari dimensi-dimensi tersebut menunjukkan bahwa tanggapan paling tinggi terdapat pada dimensi attitude. Gambaran terhadap kesiapan kerja pegawai laut baru di PT PELNI (Persero) secara keseluruhan menunjukkan pada kategori baik yang diukur dari beberapa dimensi yaitu Responsibility, Flexibility, Skills, Communication, Self-vie, Healthy and Safety. Dari dimensi-dimensi tersebut menunjukkan bahwa tanggapan tertinggi terdapat pada dimensi Communication. This study aims to:(1) To determine the description of the expertise / competence possessed by new marine employees at PT PELNI (Persero), (2) To determine the description of the work readiness of new marine employees at PT PELNI (Persero), (3) To find out whether there is a positive / negative and significant relationship between ownership of maritime certificates on the work readiness of new marine employees at PT PELNI (Persero). The method used in this research is quantitative method through descriptive method approach and explanatory method. The data collection technique used is through literature studies and questionnaires. The data analysis techniques used are descriptive analysis and verification analysis through the classical assumption test. In addition, it uses the T-test and F-test in testing the research hypothesis. The results showed that there was a relationship between variable X (Maritime Certificate Ownership) and variable Y (Job Readiness) of 85.5%. From the output, the coefficient of determination (R Square) is 73.1%, which means that the effect of the independent variable on the dependent variable is 73.1% and the rest is influenced by other factors outside the study. Based on the results of the significance test and hypothesis using the F-test, it is known that the significance level is 0.001 <0.05. So, there is an influence between variable X on variable Y. The overall picture of maritime certificate ownership shows a good category as measured by several dimensions, namely Knowledge, Understanding, Skills, Value, Attitude and Interest. Of these dimensions shows that the highest response is in the attitude dimension. The overall picture of the work readiness of new marine employees at PT PELNI (Persero) shows a good category as measured by several dimensions, namely Responsibility, Flexibility, Skills, Communication, Self-vie, Healthy and Safety. From these dimensions, it shows that the highest response is in the Communication dimension.
