Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penggunaan simulator pneumatic control system (PCS) terhadap hasil belajar mahasiswa. Simulator PCS merupakan alat yang terbuat dari beberapa komponen pneumatk dengan media udara bertekanan untuk mensimulasikan sistem kerja pneumatik. Metode penelitian yang digunakan yaitu pre-experimental dengan one-group pretest-posttest design. Data pretest didapatkan sebelum sampel diberikan treatment untuk mengetahui kemampuan awal mahasiswa dalam merancang sistem kontrol pneumatik aktuator tunggal. Sedangkan data posttest didapatkan setelah sampel mendapatkan treatment menggunakan media simulator PCS untuk mengetahui hasil belajar setelah diberikan treatment. Subjek dalam penelitian ini ialah mahasiswa Pendidikan Teknik Mesin yang berjumlah 56 orang yang mengontrak mata kuliah pneumatik dan hidrolik. Hasil yang didapatkan pada penelitian ini ialah rata-rata nilai kemampuan awal mahasiswa dalam merancang sistem kontrol pneumatic aktuator tunggal adalah 55,58, sedangkan setelah diberikan treatment rata-rata kemampuan akhir mahasiswa dalam merancang sistem kontrol pneuamtik aktuator tunggal adalah 88,54. Dengan demikian penggunaan media pembelajaran simulator PCS berpengaruh secara signifikan terhadap hasil belajar mahasiswa dalam merancang sistem kontrol pneumatik aktuator tunggal. This research aims to determine the effect of using a simulator pneumatic control system (PCS) on student learning outcomes. The PCS simulator is a tool made from several pneumatic components with pressurized air as a medium to simulate a pneumatic working system. The research method used is pre-experimental with one-group pretest-posttest design. Data pretest obtained before the sample is given treatment to determine students' initial abilities in designing single actuator pneumatic control systems. Meanwhile data posttest obtained after the sample is obtained treatment using PCS simulator media to find out learning outcomes after being given treatment. The subjects in this research were 56 Mechanical Engineering students who took pneumatic and hydraulic courses. The results obtained in this study were that the average initial ability score of students in designing a single actuator pneumatic control system was 55.58, whereas after being given treatment The average final ability of students in designing a single actuator pneumatic control system is 88.54. Thus, the use of PCS simulator learning media has a significant effect on student learning outcomes in designing single actuator pneumatic control systems.
