Abstract
This research aims to investigate and develop a novel partnership model between schools and the Business and Industry World (DUDI) grounded in the andragogical approach within the educational context. Andragogy emphasizes adult learning, acknowledging individual differences in learning styles and integrating hands-on industry experience into the school curriculum. The research analyzes how school-DUDI partnerships can be strengthened by implementing andragogical principles in curriculum design, identifying relevant competencies, and providing appropriate learning resources. This study employs a Research and Development (R&D) approach, proceeding through preliminary study stages involving observation, model design development, and validation. Data collection techniques include tests, interviews, questionnaires, observations, and document studies. Data analysis techniques use a qualitative approach to obtain empirical data in the preliminary study. Data sources for this research include, among others, the deputy headmaster, public and industrial relations, productive teachers, and PT. Telkomsel. The research findings indicate that: a) the school partnership model with the Business and Industrial World is conducted in the form of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), where the partnership strategy benefits both parties and can be a factor in developing the potential of students according to the SKKNI level II standards, b) the conceptual model of school partnership with the Business and Industrial World based on Andragogy is interpreted as a form of alliance between two or more parties in creating a cooperation bond based on mutual agreement, need, and benefit for both parties, c) the school partnership model with the Business and Industrial World based on Andragogy goes through stages of model verification and validation as well as alignment with andragogical principles, thereby improving the quality of the model to be used in partnerships.
