Profil Kemandirian Anak Down Syndrome dan Implikasinya Bagi Bimbingan Pribadi (Studi Deskriptif Tentang Kemandirian Anak Down Syndrome di Taman Kanak-Kanak (TK) Sekolah Luar Biasa (SLB) Yayasan Pendidikan dan Latihan Anak Berkelainan (YPLAB) Lembang Tahun 2013/2014). Setiap individu terlahir memiliki potensi kemandirian yang dapat dikembangkan melalui proses pendidikan, sekalipun terlahir dengan kondisi yang memiliki keterbatasan mental (tunagrahita), seperti anak down syndrome. Dalam pengembangan layanan bimbingan pribadi diperlukan terlebih dahulu identifikasi profil kemandirian setiap anak down syndrome, yang kemudian dirumuskan bimbingan pribadi anak tersebut. Tujuan umum penelitian ini adalah untuk menghasilkan profil kemandirian anak down syndrome Taman Kanak-Kanak (TK) dan berdasarkan profil kemandirian dirumuskan bimbingan pribadi untuk anak down syndrome Taman Kanak-Kanak (TK). Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif, metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah studi deskriptif. Instrumen yang digunakan yaitu pedoman observasi anak down syndrome, pedoman wawancara orangtua anak down syndrome dan pedoman wawancara wali kelas. Hasil penelitian berupa profil kemandirian anak down syndrome pada aspek merawat diri, mengurus diri, menolong diri, komunikasi, sosialisasi dan keterampilan hidup. Rekomendasi berdasarkan hasil penelitian diantaranya untuk kepala sekolah, walikelas, guru dan penelitian selanjutnya. Kata Kunci: kemandirian, anak down syndrome, bimbingan pribadi Individual is born has the potential independence that can be developed through a process of education, though born with a condition that has mental retardation, such as Down syndrome child . In the development of personal guidance services necessary to first identify the profile of each child's independence Down syndrome , which is then formulated the child's personal guidance . The general objective of this research is to produce a profile of the independence of children with Down syndrome Kindergarten and based upon personal guidance independence formulated for children with Down syndrome Kindergarten. This study is a qualitative research and method used is a descriptive study. The instrument used is a Down syndrome child observation, interview parents of children with Down syndrome and interview teachers . Results of the research is a Down syndrome child independence profiles on aspects of self-care, self help, communication, socialization and life skills. Recommendations based on the results of such research to class guardian , teacher and further research. Keywords : independence , Down syndrome child , personal guidance
