Abstract

Penelitian ini membahas mengenai internalisasi pendidikan karakter melalui kegiatan olahraga di SLB Negeri Kabupaten Karawang. Tujuan penelitian untuk mengetahui aspek dari perencanaan, pelaksanaan, kendala, dan evaluasi internalisasi nilai karakter percaya diri. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah pendekatan kualitatif dengan desain observasi langsung. Partisipan melibatkan guru dan peserta didik SLB Negeri Kabupaten Karawang, sedangkan lokasi penelitian di SLB tersebut. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Analisis data menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif, dengan teknik reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Validitas data dilakukan melalui triangulasi sumber, triangulasi teknik, dan triangulasi waktu. Hasil temuan menunjukkan bahwa kurikulum olahraga belum sepenuhnya menekankan perencanaan konkret, yang mana masih mengandalkan penilaian subjektif dari observasi guru. Implikasi teoritis menyoroti perlunya rekonstruksi kurikulum olahraga agar lebih sesuai dengan kekhususan siswa, sementara implikasi praktis memberikan panduan konkrit bagi pengembangan pendidikan karakter pada anak berkebutuhan khusus di SLB. Rekomendasi penelitian mencakup langkah-langkah untuk merealisasikan pembelajaran olahraga yang lebih efektif dalam membentuk karakter percaya diri siswa berkebutuhan khusus di SLB Kabupaten Karawang. This research discusses the internalization of character education through sports activities in Karawang Regency State Special Schools. The aim of the research is to determine aspects of planning, implementation, obstacles and evaluation of the internalization of self-confident character values. The research method used is a qualitative approach with a direct observation design. Participants involved teachers and students at the Karawang Regency State Special School, while the research location was at the Special School. Data collection was carried out through observation, interviews and documentation. Data analysis uses a descriptive approach, with data reduction techniques, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. Data validity is carried out through source triangulation, technical triangulation, and time triangulation. The findings show that the sports curriculum does not fully emphasize concrete planning, which still relies on subjective assessments from teacher observations. Theoretical implications highlight the need to reconstruct the sports curriculum to be more appropriate to student specificities, while practical implications provide concrete guidance for the development of character education for children with special needs in special schools. Research recommendations include steps to realize sports learning that is more effective in forming the confident character of students with special needs in SLB Karawang Regency.
