Abstract

ABSTRAK Kemampuan pemecahan masalah dan resiliensi matematis merupakan kemampuan yang perlu diperhatikan dalam pembelajaran matematika. Dari hasil laporan PISA, beberapa penelitian terdahulu, dan uji coba peneliti mengungkapkan bahwa kemampuan pemecahan masalah dan resiliensi matematis beberapa siswa SMP di Indonesia cenderung tergolong rendah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peningkatan kemampuan pemecahan masalah dan resiliensi matematis siswa SMP melalui model Contextual Teaching and Learning pada materi aritmatika sosial. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif dengan metode penelitian quasi experiment. Desain penelitian yang digunakan adalah non-equivalent control group design. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas VII di salah satu SMP Negeri di Kota Bandung tahun ajaran 2023/2024 dan teknik sampel yang digunakan adalah purposive sampling, diambil dua kelas yang digunakan sebagai kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol, masing-masing kelas terdiri dari 31 siswa. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah instrumen tes berupa soal kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis dan instrumen non-tes berupa angket resiliensi matematis. Setelah dilakukan analisis data tes dan non-tes, diperoleh kesimpulan bahwa: 1) peningkatan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa yang mendapatkan model Contextual Teaching and Learning lebih tinggi secara signifikan daripada kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa yang mendapatkan model pembelajaran langsung; (2) resiliensi matematis siswa setelah mendapatkan model Contextual Teaching and Learning lebih tinggi secara signifikan daripada resiliensi matematis siswa sebelum mendapatkan model Contextual Teaching and Learning. Oleh karena itu, model pembelajaran Contextual Teaching and Learning Oleh karena itu, model pembelajaran Contextual Teaching and Learning dapat diterapkan dalam pembelajaran matematika sebagai upaya untuk meningkatkan kemampuan pemecahan masalah dan resiliensi matematis siswa.  ABSTRACK Problem solving skills and mathematical resilience are abilities that need to be considered in learning mathematics. From the results of the PISA report, several previous studies, and researcher trials revealed that the problem-solving skills and mathematical resilience of some students in Indonesia tend to be low. This study aims to determine the improvement of problem-solving skills and mathematical resilience of junior high school students through the Contextual Teaching and Learning model on social arithmetic material. This research is quantitative research with quasi experiment research method. The research design used was non-equivalent control group design. The population in this study were all seventh-grade students in one of the public junior high schools in Bandung City in the 2023/2024 school year and the sample technique used was purposive sampling, two classes were taken as experimental and control classes, each class consisting of 31 students. The instruments used were test instruments in the form of mathematical problem-solving ability questions and non-test instruments in the form of mathematical resilience questionnaires. After analyzing the test and non-test data, it was concluded that: 1) the improvement of mathematical problem solving ability of students who get Contextual Teaching and Learning model is significantly higher than the mathematical problem solving ability of students who get direct learning model; (2) students' mathematical resilience after getting Contextual Teaching and Learning model is significantly higher than students' mathematical resilience before getting Contextual Teaching and Learning model. Therefore, the Contextual Teaching and Learning model can be applied in mathematics learning as an effort to improve students' problem-solving ability and mathematical resilience.
