Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi bahwa kecakapan matematis adalah salah satu kemampuan yang penting untuk menghadapi kehidupan sehari-hari pada masa ini. Berdasarkan hal tersebut, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui ada faktor pembelajaran lain yang mempengaruhi kecakapan matematis yaitu faktor keinginan diri dan faktor eksternal. Penelitian ini kemudian diimplementasikan kepada peserta didik kelas XII di salah satu SMA Kota Bandung. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah penelitian eksplanatori dengan pendekatan kuantitatif dan pengolahan data dari data tes dan non-tes menggunakan analisis faktor konfirmatori dilanjutkan dengan Structural Equation Modeling (SEM). Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, diperoleh bahwa kemampuan kecakapan matematis berada pada kategori sedang. Kecakapan matematis dipengaruhi oleh faktor keinginan diri dan faktor eksternal sebesar 52,8% sedangkan sisanya sebesar 41,2% dipengaruhi oleh faktor lain selain faktor keinginan diri dan faktor eksternal. Faktor-faktor pembelajaran yang mempengaruhi masing-masing untaian pada kecakapan matematis secara signifikan, yaitu (a) faktor eksternal terhadap untaian kelancaran prosedur, (b) faktor keinginan diri terhadap untaian kompetensi strategis, dan (c) faktor keinginan diri terhadap untaian disposisi produktif. Faktor keinginan diri yang terdiri atas minat, kesiapan dan respon mempengaruhi kecakapan matematis secara signifikan. Selain itu, faktor eksternal yang terdiri atas keluarga dan sekolah tidak mempengaruhi kecakapan matematis secara signifikan. This research is motivated by the fact that mathematical proficiency are an important ability to face everyday life today. Based on this, this research aims to find out whether there are other learning factors that influence mathematical proficiency, namely self-desire factors and external factors. This research was then implemented with class XII students at one of Bandung City's high schools. The research method used in this research is explanatory research with a quantitative approach and data processing from test and non-test data using confirmatory factor analysis followed by Structural Equation Modeling (SEM). Based on the research results, it was found that mathematical proficiency were in the medium category. Mathematical proficiency are influenced by self-desire and external factors by 52.8%, while the remaining 41.2% are influenced by factors other than self-desire and external factors. The learning factors that significantly influence each strand of mathematical proficiency are (a) external factors on the procedural fluency, (b) self-desire factors on the strategic competence, and (c) self-desire factors on the productive disposition. Self-desire factors consisting of interest, readiness and response influence mathematical proficiency significantly. Apart from that, external factors consisting of family and school do not significantly influence mathematical proficiency.
