Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memperoleh informasi mengenai peningkatan penguasaan konsep setelah diterapkan model pembelajaran Problem Based Learning (PBL) mengunakan simulator Orsi Kimia berbasis smartphone. Metode yang digunakan adalah mixed methods dengan desain penelitian pre-experimental one group pretest posttest. Partisipan penelitian terdiri dari 34 peserta didik SMA kelas XI yang telah mempelajari materi orde reaksi. Penelitian ini diawali dengan menganalisis karakteristik isi simulator yang dikembangkan oleh peneliti sebelumnya. Informasi yang diperoleh pada tahap analisis simulator menjadi pertimbangan untuk menentukan model pembelajaran yang sesuai dan sebagai acuan dalam pembuatan RPP. Keterlaksanaan pembelajaran diperoleh dari respon siswa pada LKPD. Data peningkatan penguasaan konsep diperoleh dari pretest dan posttest menggunakan soal pilihan ganda. Dari hasil analisis simulator, model pembelajaran yang sesuai dengan karakteristik simulator adalah model pembelajaran PBL. Rancangan pelaksanaan pembelajaran dikategorikan sangat layak. Keterlaksanaan model pembelajaran PBL menggunakan simulator berbasis smartphone sudah terlaksana dengan baik serta terdapat peningkatan penguasaan konsep yang signifikan dan peningkatan hasil belajar dalam kategori tinggi. This research aims to obtain information regarding increasing mastery of concepts after implementing the Problem Based Learning (PBL) learning model using a smartphone-based reaction order simulator. The method used was mixed methods with a pre-experimental research design, one group pretest posttest. The research participants consisted of 34 class XI high school students who had studied reaction order material. This research began by analyzing the characteristics of simulators developed by previous researchers. The information obtained at the simulator analysis stage is taken into consideration to determine the appropriate learning model and as a reference in making lesson plans. The implementation of learning is obtained from student responses to the LKPD. Data on increasing concept mastery were obtained from the pretest and posttest using multiple choice questions. From the results of the simulator analysis, the learning model that suits the characteristics of the simulator is the PBL learning model. The learning implementation plan is categorized as very feasible. The implementation of the PBL learning model using a smartphone-based simulator has been carried out well and there has been a significant increase in mastery of concepts and an increase in learning outcomes in the high category.
