    Abstract

    ABSTRAK Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk merancang dan mengembangkan antarmuka pengguna dan pengalaman pengguna untuk menciptakan rancangan aplikasi Android yang dapat digunakan dalam sistem manajemen peserta didik di tingkat pendidikan tinggi. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian dan pengembangan melalui pendekatan pemikiran desain yang berfokus pada pemahaman dan pemenuhan kebutuhan manusia. Partisipan penelitian ini adalah lima mahasiswa pada tahap empathize dan sepuluh mahasiswa pada tahap test yang merupakan mahasiswa S-1 Administrasi Pendidikan, Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa rancangan aplikasi ini dapat menjawab beberapa permasalahan utama mahasiswa dan pengujian usabilitas rancangan ini memperlihatkan hasil dengan nilai 100% untuk efektivitas, 0,037 goals/second untuk efisiensi, dan 79 untuk kepuasan pengguna yang termasuk dalam kategori A-, dikategorikan dalam klasifikasi “good” atau baik dan “acceptable” atau dapat diterima oleh pengguna.

    ABSTRACT This research aims to design and develop user interface and user experience to create a design of Android application that can be used in the student management system at the higher education level. This research uses the research and development method through the design thinking approach which focuses on understanding and fulfilling human needs. The participants of this research were five students in the empathize stage and ten students in the test stage who were Bachelor of Educational Administration students, Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia. The results of the research showed that the design of this application can answer some of the main problems of students and the usability testing of this design showed results with a value of 100% for effectiveness, 0.037 goals/second for efficiency, and 79 for user satisfaction which is included in the A- category, categorized in the "good" and "acceptable" classification by users.
