Abstract
Perkembangan digitalisasi informasi memberikan banyak dampak bagi kehidupan manusia, mulai dari kemudahan akses informasi, efektivitas aktivitas, hingga perubahan besar bagi pertumbuhan perusahaan yang bergerak di bidang teknologi informasi. Namun, faktanya, tidak semua perusahaan memberikan kemudahan bagi penggunanya. Kesalahan umumnya terjadi pada bagaimana mereka merancang tampilan UI yang baik bagi penggunanya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mencari tahu makna semiotika berdasarkan model semiotika Peirce yang digunakan dalam merancang desain tampilan UI situs Bukalapak.com sebagai salah satu perusahaan yang bergerak di bidang teknologi informasi, khususnya e-commerce. Penelitian dilakukan dengan metode analisis konten menggunakan model semiotika Peirce. Hasil temuan menunjukkan impikasi makna desain UI Bukalapak memiliki karakter yang intuitif dan instuksional. The development of digitalization of information has many impacts on human life, from easy access to information, effectiveness of activities, to major changes in the growth of companies engaged in information technology. However, in fact, not all companies provide convenience for their users. Errors generally occur in how they design a good UI appearance for their users. This study aims to find out the meaning of semiotics based on Peirce's semiotic model used in designing the UI appearance of the Bukalapak.com site as a company engaged in information technology, especially e-commerce. The research was conducted by using the content analysis method using Peirce's semiotic model. The findings show that the design meaning of Bukalapak's UI is intuitive and instructional.
