Abstract
Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh rendahnya kemampuan membaca pemahaman siswa sekolah dasar. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui apakah terdapat pengaruh model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Jigsaw yang diterapkan pada kelas eksperimen terhadap kemampuan membaca pemahaman teks nonfiksi pada siswa sekolah dasar. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah quasi eksperimen dengan desain penelitian non-equivalent control group design. Sampel yang digunakan yaitu siswa kelas 5B dan 5C di SDN Lubang Buaya 05 Jakarta yang masing-masing kelas terdiri dari 30 siswa kelas eksperimen dan kontrol. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan yaitu tes dan non-tes. Data yang sudah didapatkan berikutnya diuji menggunakan uji t paired t-test dengan kriteria signifikansi 0,05. Hasil uji t paired t-test menyatakan bahwa nilai signifikansi (2 tailed) lebih kecil dari α, atau 0,000 < 0,05 artinya terdapat pengaruh model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Jigsaw terhadap kemampuan membaca pemahaman teks nonfiksi. ----- This research was motivated by the low reading comprehension ability of elementary school students. The purpose of this study was to determine whether there was an effect of the Jigsaw type cooperative learning model applied to the experimental class on the ability to read comprehension of nonfiction texts in elementary school students. The type of research used in this research is quasi experiment with nonequivalent control group design. The samples used were grade 5B and 5C students at SDN Lubang Buaya 05 Jakarta, each class consisting of 30 experimental and control class students. The data collection techniques used were tests and non-tests. The collected data were then tested using an paired t-test with a significance level of 0.05. The results of the paired t-test indicate that the significance value (2-tailed) is smaller than α, or 0.000 < 0.05, which means that there is an influence of the Jigsaw type cooperative learning model on the ability to read comprehension of nonfiction text.
