Abstract

Kecakapan kerja merupakan aset penting bagi mahasiswa yang akan memudahkan transisi dari dunia pendidikan menuju dunia kerja. Mahasiswa yang berfokus pada pengembangan kecakapan kerja lebih berpeluang untuk memasuki dunia kerja dengan lebih cepat. Kecakapan kerja diartikan melebihi penguasaan technical skill pada bidang keilmuan semata, tetapi terdiri dari banyak kemampuan yang bersifat softkill sebagai bentuk pengakuan butuhnya adaptabilitas di dunia kerja yang semakin kompleks. Perguruan tinggipun memiliki konsetrasi pada agenda ini, karena dipandang dapat menjadi strategi dalam mempercepat keterserapan lulusan di dunia kerja. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah menguji efektivitas bimbingan karir berbasis pendekatan karir kognitif sosial untuk mengembangkan kecakapan kerja mahasiswa. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode eksperimen kuasi dengan pre-and post-test design. Partisipan dalam penelitian ini adalah 44 orang mahasiswa semester 6 Tahun Akademik 2022/2023 Universitas Telkom melalui teknik convenience sampling. Pengumpulan data menggunakan instrumen kecakapan kerja yang telah dikembangkan dan diuji menggunakan analisis pemodelan Rasch. Analisis data menggunakan statitik non-prametrik melalui Mann whitney u test. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bimbingan karir berbasis pendekatan karir kognitif sosial teruji efektif untuk mengembangkan kecakapan kerja mahasiswa. Penelitian ini direkomendasikan untuk konselor atau praktisi bimbingan dan konseling di Perguruan Tinggi dapat melibatkan mahasiswa dengan aktivitas-aktivitas karir pada bimbingan karir kognitif sosial untuk mengembangan kecakapan kerja mahasiswa Employability skill are an important asset for college students that will ease the transition from the world of education to the world of work. College students who focus on developing employability skills have a better chance of entering the world of work more quickly. Employability skills are defined as more than just mastering technical skills in a scientific field, but consist of many soft skills as a form of recognition of the need for adaptability in an increasingly complex world of work. Universities also concentrate on this agenda, because it is seen as a strategy to accelerate the absorption of graduates in the world of work. The aim of this research is to test the effectiveness of social cognitive career guidance to develop students' employability skills. This research uses quasi-experiment with Pre- and Post-test Design. Participants in this research were 44 students in the 6th semester of the 2022/2023 Academic Year at Telkom University using a convenience sampling technique. Data collection uses work skills instruments that have been developed and tested using Rasch modeling analysis. Data analysis uses non-prametric statistics via the Mann Whitney U test. The research results show that social cognitive career guidance has proven effective in developing students' employability skills. This research is recommended for counselors or guidance and counseling practitioners in higher education to involve students in career activities in social cognitive career guidance to improve students' employability skills
