Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi karena adanya temuan empiris yang menyatakan bahwa penyediaan aksesibilitas yang telah ada saat ini belum aksesibel bagi tunanetra, hal ini dibuktikan dengan masih banyaknya lingkungan fisik maupun nonfisik yang belum ramah tunanetra, sehingga mereka kesulitan untuk mampu secara mandiri dalam menjalankan aktifitas kesehariannya diberbagai bidang seperti teknologi, pendidikan dan ketenaga kerjaan. Maka dari itu, penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mendeskripsikan dan menganalisis bagaimana upaya dari Yayasan Mitranetra dalam memberdayakan penyandang tunanetra melalui penyediaan aksesibilitas dalam rangka meningkatkan kemandirian. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode penelitian deskriptif, yaitu metode penelitian yang bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan apa-apa yang saat ini berlaku. Sedangkan pendekatan yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah pendekatan kualitatif. Berdasarkan pengolahan dan pembahasan data, diperoleh hasil penelitian mengenai (1) Penerapan Penyediaan Aksesibilitas dalam rangka meningkatkan kemandirian penyandang Tunanetra, yang terdiri dari tahapan perencanaan, tahapan pelaksanaan dan tahapan evaluasi. (2) Dampak Dari Hasil Penyadiaan Aksesibilitas Dalam Rangka Meningkatkan Kemandirian Penyandang Tunanetra, yang terdiri dari: kemandirian mengakses peralatan teknologi, kemandirian mengakses pelayanan pendidikan, dan kemandirian mengakses pelayanan ketenaga kerjaan. (3) Faktor Pendukung dan Penghambat Yang Mempengaruhi Penyediaan Aksesibilitas, diantaranya adalah faktor internal dan eksternal. Dari seluruh rangkaian penelitian tersebut dapat disimpulkan bahwa pemberdayaan penyandang tunanetra melalui penyediaan aksesibilitas yang dilaksanakan Yayasan Mitranetra, telah mampu menjadikan para tunanetra lebih mandiri dalam mengakses dan menggunakan peralatan teknologi, mengakses dan menerima pelayanan pendidikan, serta mengakses dan menerima pelayanan ketenaga kerjaan. -----This study discusses To Empowerment People With Visual Impairment Through Providing Accessibility In Order To Increase The Independence. This research is motivated because of the empirical findings stating that the accessibility of existing provision currently not accessible to the visually impaired, so that they can independently difficulty in performing daily activities in various fields such as technology, education and employment. Therefore, this study was conducted to describe and analyze how the efforts of one of NFE is Mitranetra Foundation in empowering persons with visual impairments through the provision of accessibility in order to improve independence . The method used in this research is descriptive research method, the method of research that aims to describe anything that is currently in effect . This study did not test the hypothesis, but merely describes what information is in accordance with the variables examined. While the approach used in this study is a qualitative approach. Based on the data processing and discussion, the result of research on (1) Application of Provision of accessibility in order to increase the independence of people with the Blind , which consists of the phases of planning , implementation, and evaluation stages, (2) Impact of Results In Order To Increase accessibility Penyadiaan Independence of People with Visual Impairment, which consists of : independence of access technology equipment, independence accessing educational services, and independent access employment services, (3) Supporting and Inhibiting Factors Affecting the Provision of accessibility, including the internal and external factors. Of a whole series of these studies it can be concluded that the empowerment of blind people through the provision of accessibility implemented Mitranetra Foundation, has been able to increase the independence of the blind who became his client in accessing and using the tools of technology, access to and receives education services, as well as accessing and receiving employment services.
