Abstract

Tenaga kerja perlu memiliki employability skills karena akan meningkatkan performa kerja dan kehidupan individu itu sendiri sehingga dapat lebih siap untuk memasuki serta menghadapi tantangan yang ada di dunia kerja. Untuk mewujudkan SDM dengan keterampilan sesuai kebutuhan industri dapat dilakukan upaya peningkatan kemampuan melalui pelatihan kerja. Pelatihan Berbasis Kompetensi yang diselenggarakan dalam pelaksaanannya memberikan pematerian terkait keterampilan umum meliputi motivasi kerja, FMD (Fisik, Mental, Disiplin), dan produktivitas yang merupakan bagian dari employability skills dengan tujuan mendorong dan mempersiapkan peserta agar siap memasuki dunia kerja. Namun, pada kenyataannya masih cenderung banyak peserta yang telah dinyatakan lulus tetapi belum dapat menempati posisi di dunia kerja ataupun cenderung tidak bertahan lama dalam pekerjaannya karena belum adanya kesiapan kerja. Penelitian ini dilakukan menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan teknik pengumpulan data berupa wawancara, observasi, studi dokumentasi, dan triangulasi data. Lulusan pelatihan berbasis kompetensi memiliki employability skills untuk dapat memasuki dan bertahan di dunia kerja serta bekerja dengan baik meliputi ciri terampil kerja, bertanggung jawab, adaptif dengan lingkungan kerja, bergaul dengan rekan kerja, pembelajar, solutif atas masalah, mempunyai kelompok atau tim kerja, keterampilan manajerial, pengendalian diri, inisiatif, prestasi dalam bekerja, sikap komitmen kerja, dan workaholic. Namun, masih kurang dalam kompetensi meniti karir. Lulusan laki-laki menunjukkan inisiatif dan workaholic sehingga diharapkan dapat meningkatkan potensi yang dimiliki dalam inisiatif sehingga dapat membuat berbagai inovasi baru dalam memajukan suatu organisasi atau perusahaan. Sementara itu, perempuan menunjukkan kepemimpinan dan prestasi kerja sehingga diharapkan dapat meningkatkan potensi yang dimiliki dalam kepemimpinan dengan menempati posisi seperti supervisor. Workers need to have employability skills because it will improve work performance and the life of the individual himself so that he can be better prepared to enter and face the challenges that exist in the world of work. To realize human resources with skills according to industry needs, efforts can be made to improve abilities through job training. Competency-Based Training organized in its implementation provides training related to general skills including work motivation, FMD (Physical, Mental, Discipline), and productivity which are part of employability skills with the aim of encouraging and preparing participants to be ready to enter the world of work. However, in reality there still tend to be many participants who have graduated but have not been able to occupy positions in the world of work or tend not to last long in their jobs because of the absence of work readiness. This research was conducted using a qualitative approach with data collection techniques in the form of interviews, observations, documentation studies, and data triangulation. Competency-based training graduates have employability skills to be able to enter and survive in the world of work and work well including the characteristics of skilled work, responsible, adaptive to the work environment, get along with colleagues, learners, problem solvers, have a group or work team, managerial skills, self-control, initiative, achievement at work, attitude of work commitment, and workaholic. However, they are still lacking in career competencies. Male graduates show initiative and workaholic so that they are expected to increase their potential in initiative so that they can make various new innovations in advancing an organization or company. Meanwhile, women show leadership and work achievement so they are expected to increase their potential in leadership by occupying positions such as supervisors.
