Abstract

Penelitian ini berangkat dari fenomena meningkatnya kesempatan dan partisipasi mahasiswa terhadap program studi ke luar negeri, termasuk kesempatan mahasiswa Indonesia untuk melakukan studi ke Korea Selatan salah satunya melalui program International Student Mobility Awards (IISMA). Penelitian kuantitatif deskriptif ini memiliki tujuan untuk menjelaskan bagaimana pengalaman studi ke Korea Selatan dan minat belajar bahasa, serta hubungan pengalaman studi di Korea Selatan terhadap minat mempelajari bahasa Korea penerima beasiswa IISMA tahun 2022 ke Korea Selatan. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan metode pengumpulan data kuantitatif meliputi penyebaran kuesioner dan wawancara terhadap peserta IISMA Korea Selatan tahun 2022. Teori yang digunakan dalam penelitian adalah teori pengalaman Boud dan Walker serta teori minat belajar dari Slameto. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa variabel pengalaman studi di Korea Selatan termasuk ke dalam kategori ”sangat tinggi” dengan hasil nilai rekapitulasi sebesar 3,65. Kemudian minat mempelajari bahasa Korea juga termasuk ke dalam kategori ”sangat tinggi” dengan skor rekapitulasi sebesar 3,29. Hubungan pengalaman studi di Korea Selatan terhadap minat mempelajari bahasa Korea menunjukkan hasil hubungan yang signifikan, positif, dan berkorelasi ”sedang” dengan hasil rhitung sebesar 0,519 dan taraf signifikansi sebesar 0,000. Sehingga dapat ditarik kesimpulan bahwa terdapat hubungan yang signifikan dan positif antara pengalaman studi di Korea Selatan dengan minat mempelajari bahasa Korea. Penelitian ini diharapkan dapat menjadi stimulus bagi instansi pendidikan untuk memfasilitasi minat belajar bahasa asing pelajar yang mengikuti program studi ke luar negeri. This research stems from the phenomenon of increasing student opportunities and participation in study abroad programs, including the opportunity for Indonesian students to study in South Korea, one of which is through the International Student Mobility Awards (IISMA) program. This quantitative research with a descriptive approach aims to describe the experience of studying in South Korea and the interest in learning Korean of IISMA 2022 participants in South Korea, as well as the correlation between the experience of studying in South Korea and the interest in learning Korean of IISMA 2022 awardees to South Korea. This research utilized quantitative data collection methods that included questionnaires and interviews with IISMA awardees to South Korea in 2022. This research adopted the theory of experience from Boud and Walker, and the theory of learning interest from Slameto. The results show that the experience of studying in South Korea was categorized as “very high” with a recapitulation score of 3.65. The interest in learning Korean was also categorized as “very high” with a recapitulation score of 3.29. The relationship between study abroad experience in South Korea and interest in learning Korean shows a significant, positive, and moderate correlation with an R-value of 0.519 and a significance level of 0.000. Thus, this study concluded that there is a positive and significant relationship between study abroad experience in South Korea and interest in learning Korean. This study is anticipated to stimulate educational institutions to provide necessary resources to encourage foreign language learning among students studying abroad. 본 연구는 대학생들의 한국 유학 기회와 유학 프로그램 참가가 증가하는 현상에서 비롯되었다. 인도네시아 학생들이 한국에서 유학할 수 있는 기회를 포함하여, 그 중 하나는 International Student Mobility Awards (IISMA) 프로그램을 통해서이다. 이 서술적 정량적 연구는 2022 년 IISMA 장학생의 한국 유학 경험과 한국어 학습에 대한 관심, 그리고 유학 경험과 한국어 학습에 대한 관심도의 상관관계를 설명하는 것을 목표로 한다. 이 연구는 2022년 IISMA 한국 유학 장학생들을 대상으로 설문 조사와 인터뷰를 포함한 양적 자료 수집 방법을 활용하였다. 이 연구는 Boud 과 Walker 의 학습 경험 이론과 Slameto 의 학습 동기 이론을 채택한다. 연구 결과에 따라 한국 유학 경험은 요약 점수 3.65 점으로“매우 높음” 범주에 있다는 것이며, 한국어 학습에 대한 관심도는 3.29 로 “매우 높음” 범주에 속했다. 한국 유학 경험과 한국어 학습에 대한 관심의 상관관계는 R값의 결정계수 0.519와 0.000의 유의수준 <0.05 긍정적이고 유의성이며 적당한 관계를 가지고 있다. 따라서 본 연구는 한국에서의 유학 경험과 한국어 학습에 대한 관심 간에 긍정적이고 유의미한 상관관계가 있다는 결론을 내릴 수 있었다.본 연구는 유학생들이 외국어를 학습할 관심을 제공하기 위해 교육 전문 기관들이 지원을 자극할 수 있도록 유도되길 바란다.
