Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatar belakangi permasalahan yang muncul di lapangan terkait seiring berkembangnya zaman dan teknologi permainan tradisional engklek yang sudah jarang dimainkan lagi bahkan hampir punah, dan sedikitnya pengetahuan terkait manfaat permainan tradisional bagi pertumbuhan dan perkembangan anak usia dini. Proses pertumbuhan dan perkembangan anak akan terstimulasi secara optimal apabila guru memberikan stimulus yang baik dengan ketersediaan bahan ajar di sekolah. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengembangkan permainan tradisional engklek untuk memfasilitasi pertumbuhan dan perkembangan khususnya motorik kasar anak usia dini. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode pengembangan dengan desain EDR (Educational Design Research), yang didasarkan pada model EDR McKenney, yang terbagi menjadi tiga bagian yaitu, analisis data eksplorasi (analysis and exploration), desain dan kontruksi (design and contruction), evaluasi dan refleksi (evaluation and reflection). Teknik pengumpulan data yang dilakukan adalah observasi, wawancara, kuesioner (angket), dan validasi ahli. Produk yang telah dikembangkan divalidasi oleh ahli media dan ahli materi fisik motorik, serta melalui beberapa revisi sesuai saran validator. Peneliti selanjutnya melakukan uji coba secara terbatas sebanyak dua kali di TK Atraktif Bunda Tami Kecamatan Padakembang Kabupaten Tasikmalaya. Secara umum, produk hasil pengembangan peneliti berupa permainan tradisional engklek untuk mengembangkan motorik kasar anak usia dini layak digunakan dalam pembelajaran. This research is motivated by the problems that arise in the field related to the development of the times and the technology of traditional hopscotch games which are rarely played anymore and even almost extinct, and the lack of knowledge regarding the benefits of traditional games for the growth and development of early childhood. The process of growth and development of children will be stimulated optimally if the teacher provides a good stimulus with the availability of teaching materials at school. The purpose of this research is to develop traditional hopscotch games to facilitate growth and development, especially gross motor skills in early childhood. The method used in this study is the development method with EDR (Educational Design Research) design, which is based on the McKenney EDR model, which is divided into three parts, namely, analysis and exploration, design and construction, evaluation and reflection (evaluation and reflection). The data collection techniques used were observation, interviews, questionnaires, and expert validation. The products that have been developed are validated by media experts and motor-physical material experts, as well as through several revisions according to the validator's suggestions. The next researcher conducted a limited trial twice at the Bunda Tami Attractive Kindergarten, Padakembang District, Tasikmalaya Regency. In general, the product developed by researchers in the form of a traditional hopscotch game to develop gross motor skills in early childhood is suitable for use in learning.
