Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji peningkatan kemampuan berpikir kritis dan kreatif matematis siswa yang pembelajarannya menggunakan model pembelajaran ASSURE dengan siswa yang pembelajarannya secara konvensional. Penelitian ini terdapat unsur manipulasi perlakuan yaitu kelompok eksperimen mendapat perlakuan pembelajaran dengan model pembelajaran ASSURE, sedangkan kelompok kontrol memperoleh pembelajaran secara konvensional. Metode yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah kuasi eksperimen. Desain penelitian yang dilakukan adalah Pre-test Pos-test Control Group Design. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas 9 di salah satu SMP unggulan di Kabupaten Cianjur. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan secara acak terhadap kelas, dan sebanyak dua kelas digunakan sebagai kelompok eksperimen dan kelompok kontrol. Instrumen yang digunakan berupa tes kemampuan berpikir kritis dan kreatif matematis siswa. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data yang dilakukan menggunakan taraf signifikansi 0,05 dan pengujian dilakukan dengan menggunakan uji Mann Whitney dan uji t, diperoleh kesimpulan bahwa: 1) Kemampuan berpikir kritis matematis siswa yang pembelajarannya menggunakan model pembelajaran ASSURE lebih baik daripada siswa yang pembelajarannya secara konvensional; 2) Kemampuan berpikir kreatif matematis siswa yang pembelajarannya menggunakan model pembelajaran ASSURE lebih baik daripada siswa yang pembelajarannya secara konvensional; 3) Peningkatan kemampuan berpikir kritis matematis siswa yang pembelajarannya menggunakan model pembelajaran ASSURE lebih baik daripada siswa yang pembelajarannya secara konvensional; 4) Peningkatan kemampuan berpikir kreatif matematis siswa yang pembelajarannya menggunakan model pembelajaran ASSURE lebih baik daripada siswa yang pembelajarannya secara konvensional. Berpikir Kreatif Matematis, Model Pembelajaran ASSURE The purpose of this study is to investigate the improvement of critical thinking and creative mathematical skills learning of the students taught using the ASSURE model in comparison to the students taught using the conventional learning. This study incorporates a manipulated treatment or intervention where the experimental group is taught using the ASSURE learning and the control group is taught using the conventional model. Using the quasi-experimental method, the Pre-test Post-test Control Group design was applied. The population is the of the ninth grade students of a leading junior high school in the Cianjur Regency. Random Sampling is employed to select the classes resulting a class assigned as experimental group and the other as the control group. The instrument is in the form of a test for student critical and creative mathematical thinking skills. Based on the results of data analysis, with the significant level of .05 in the procedure of Mann-Whitney and t-test, it is concluded that 1) The critical mathematical thinking skills of the students taught using the ASSURE learning model was better than that of the students taught using the conventional learning; 2) The creative mathematical thinking skills of the students taught using the ASSURE learning model was better than that of the students taught using the conventional learning; 3) The increase in critical mathematical thinking skills of the students taught using the ASSURE learning model was better than that of the students taught using the conventional learning; 4) The increase in creative mathematical thinking skills of the students taught using the ASSURE learning model was better than that of the students taught using the conventional learning.
