Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh karya sastra memiliki banyak unsur
didalamnya, diantaranya yaitu struktur cerita dan wujud absurditas sastra pada
novel Absur karya H. D. Bastaman. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah
mendeskripsikan 1) tema, 2) fakta cerita, 3) sarana cerita, dan 4) wujud absurditas
yang ada pada novel Absur karya H. D. Bastaman. Metode yang digunakan dalam
penelitian ini yaitu deksriptif dengan dektik studi pustaka. Hasil dari penelitian ini
yaitu, tema pada novel ini yakni mimpi yang absur, karena isi cerita dalam novel
ini yakni tokoh utama mengalami mimpi absur yang tidak bisa diterima oleh akal.
Fakta cerita yang terdapat pada nove ini yaitu alur, tokoh dan penokohan, serta
latar. Alur yang ada dalam novel ini yakni 24 episode serta menggunakan alur
maju, karena tahapan permasalah yang ada berurutan muncul dari pengenalan�pertengahan-akhir; tokoh dalam novel ini yakni ada 24 orang, yang mana setiap
tokoh yang ada memiliki sipat yang berbeda-beda dalam setiap alurnyal; latar
pada novel ini terbagi jadi tiga bagian, pertama latar tempat, terdapat 12 latar
tempat, kedua latar waktu, terdapat lima latar waktu, dan latar sosial, latar sosial
dalam novél ini yakni berada pada tahun 2000-an yang mana dalam isi ceritanya
memperlihatkan keaadaan lingkungan, sudah ada kendaraan khususnya mobil, dan
kebiasaan-kebiasaan lainnya yang ada di pedesaan. Sarana sastra yang terdapat
pada novél Absur yaitu judul, sudut pandang, dan juga gaya basa atawau tone;
judul pada novel ini sangat menggambarkan kejadian atau permasalah�permasalahan yang ada; sudut pandang dalam novel ini yaktu sebagai orang
pertama; gaya basa yang ditemukan dalam novel ini diantaranya ada hiperbola,
pleonasme, eufimisme, personofikasi, simile, dan alegori. Absurditas yang ada
pada novél Absur ada beberapa kejadian diantaranya dalam bentuk mengasingkan
diri, bentuk makna kehirupan, bentuk kematian, bentuk harapan, dan bentuk
pemberontakan. Dengan begitu novel Absur karya H. D. Bastaman memiliki
struktur cerita yang lengkap dan ada kejadian-kejadian absurditas didalam
ceritanya.
This research is motivated by the fact that literary works have many elements in
them, including the story structure and the form of literary absurdity in the novel
Absur by H. D. Bastaman. The purpose of this study is to describe 1) themes, 2)
story facts, 3) story tools, and 4) forms of absurdity in the novel Absur by H. D.
Bastaman. The method used in this research is descriptive with a literature review
method. The result of this study is that the theme of this novel is an absurd dream,
because the contents of the story in this novel are that the main character
experiences an absurd dream that cannot be accepted by reason. The story facts
contained in this novel are the plot, characters, and characterizations, as well as
the setting. The plot in this novel is 24 episodes long and uses a forward plot,
because the stages of the problems that exist sequentially emerge from the
introduction-mid-end; There are 24 characters in this novel, and each character
has a different plot in each plot; The setting in this novel is divided into three parts,
the first is the place setting, there are 12 place settings, the second is the time
setting, there are five time settings, and the third is the social setting, The social
setting in this novel is in the 2000s, which in the contents of the story shows the
situation environment, there are already vehicles, especially cars, and other habits
that exist in the countryside. The literary means contained in the Absur novel are
the title, point of view, and also the style of language or tone; the title of this novel
really describes the events or problems that exist; the point of view in this novel is
in the first person; and the basic styles found in this novel include hyperbole,
pleonasm, euphemism, personification, simile, and allegory. There are several
occurrences of absurdity in the Absur novel, including the form of exile, the form
of the meaning of life, the form of death, the form of hope, and the form of rebellion.
In this way, the novel Absur by H. D. Bastaman has a complete story structure, and
there are incidents of absurdity in the story
