Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis dan mendeskripsikan perolehan dan peningkatan kemampuan koneksi matematis siswa kelas V sekolah dasar pada materi skala yang memperoleh pembelajaran RADEC dan PBL. Penelitian ini menggunakan penelitian kuantitatif dengan desain descriptive research, one-group pretest-posttest design dan pretest-posttest control group design without randomization. Subjek pada penelitian ini ada 56 siswa kelas V di salah satu sekolah dasar negeri di Kota Tasikmalaya yang terbagi ke dalam 2 kelompok. Kelas pertama memperoleh pembelajaran RADEC dan kelas kedua memperoleh pembelajaran PBL. Dari penelitian ini diperoleh kesimpulan: i) Secara deskriptif, rata – rata skor perolehan kemampuan koneksi matematis siswa kelas V yang memperoleh model pembelajaran RADEC lebih tinggi daripada rata-rata skor perolehan kemampuan koneksi matematis siswa kelas V yang memperoleh model PBL; ii) Kriteria peningkatan kemampuan koneksi matematis siswa kelas V yang memperoleh model pembelajaran RADEC dan PBL ada pada kategori sedang; iii) Penggunaan model pembelajaran RADEC dan PBL masing - masing berpengaruh secara signifikan terhadap perolehan dan peningkatan kemampuan koneksi matematis siswa kelas V; iv) Penggunaan model pembelajaran RADEC pengaruhnya lebih tinggi terhadap perolehan dan peningkatan kemampuan koneksi matematis siswa kelas V dibanding dengan penggunaan model PBL. This study aims to analyze and describe the acquisition and improvement of mathematical connection skills of fifth grade elementary school students on scale material who received RADEC and PBL learning. This study used quantitative research with descriptive research design, one-group pretest-posttest design and pretest-posttest control group design without randomization. The subjects in this study were 56 fifth grade students in one of the public elementary schools in Tasikmalaya City who were divided into 2 groups. The first class received RADEC learning and the second class received PBL learning. This study concluded that: 1) The average acquisition of mathematical connection ability of fifth grade students on scale material using RADEC learning model is statistically descriptive higher than the acquisition of mathematical connection ability of students with PBL; 2) The improvement of mathematical connection ability of fifth grade students on scale material with RADEC and PBL learning models is in the medium category; 3) The use of RADEC and PBL learning models has a significant effect on the acquisition and improvement of mathematical connection skills of fifth grade students on scale material; 4) There is a difference in the effect of using RADEC and PBL learning models on the acquisition and improvement of mathematical connection skills of fifth grade students on scale material. Learning with the RADEC model on the scale material increased higher than learning with the PBL model based on the difference in the average score.
