Abstract
The development of increasingly sophisticated technology is a challenge that must be faced by teachers to be able to master and use technology in learning. The use of learning media is important in achieving learning objectives. E-learning learning media is one of the right choices that can be used by teachers today. One example of e-learning learning media offered in this study is the ecolife application media. This study aims to determine the effect of using ecolife application media as social studies learning media on students' creativity. The research method uses a quasi-experimental research design with nonequivalent control group design. The research location was carried out at SMP PGRI Lembang with the selected sample, namely class IX-C as the experimental class, and class IX-A as the control class. The results showed that the experimental class and the control class had different levels of creativity as seen in the pre-test and post-test results. The results obtained by the experimental class proved to have a higher value than the control class. After the two were compared, it can be seen that the pre-test results showed no difference in the level of creativity of students in the experimental class and students in the control class. While the results of the post-test showed that there were differences in the level of creativity of students in the experimental class and students in the control class. The N-Gain test results show that the ecolife application media is in the medium criteria with the category being quite effective for use as social studies learning media. This increase can be seen from the scores obtained on the essay questions which contain indicators of creativity, namely fluency, flexibility, originality and elaboration.
