Abstract
The vocational curriculum for deaf students at SLBN Surade has low competence so that graduates are not absorbed in the business world and in the end they often return home. This gap arises because the vocational programs held at SLB are more curriculum oriented and implemented sober, unplanned and continuous. even though they have enough time (57-59%) per week. This study aims to develop an environment-based vocational program model to increase the vocational independence of deaf students at Surade SLBN. The research method used in this study is the Research and Development approach with the Mix Method method. The results of the research show that the developed Environment-Based Vocational Program Model can be implemented properly, systematically and continuously. The results of the study also show that graduates who are used as research subjects show independence in vocational skills, especially in the field of cooking skills that can be absorbed in the business world/world of work..
