Abstract

Model Flipped Classroom memiliki konsep terbalik, yaitu membalik kegiatan yang biasanya dikerjakan di rumah menjadi di sekolah, dan yang biasanya dikerjakan di sekolah menjadi di rumah. Dengan menggunakan model ini, guru dapat mengarahkan dan mengawasi siswa dalam proses penulisan cerpen tanpa keterbatasan waktu. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji penerapan model Flipped Classroom berbantuan konten YouTube dalam pembelajaran menulis cerpen serta mengetahui perbedaan hasil belajar kelompok yang menggunakan model Flipped Classroom berbantuan konten YouTube dan model terlangsung. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode quasi eksperimental dengan desain non-equivalent control group design. Populasi yang digunakan adalah siswa kelas XI SMA Laboratorium Percontohan UPI dengan sampel kelas XI MIPA 1 dan XI MIPA 3. Data diambil melalui tes awal dan tes akhir serta angket dan observasi sebagai penunjang. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa hasil tes awal kedua kelas memiliki selisih nilai yang cukup rendah, yaitu rata-rata hasil tes awal kelas eksperimen 60 dan kelas kontrol memiliki rata-rata nilai 53. Setelah menggunakan model Flipped Classroom berbantuan konten YouTube rata-rata nilai tes akhir kelas eksperimen adalah 71. Rata-rata nilai tes akhir kelas kontrol yang menggunakan model terlangsung adalah 57. Berdasarkan hal tersebut serta uji t yang dilakukan, dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan antara kemampuan menulis cerpen siswa di kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol. Model Flipped Classroom berbantuan konten YouTube dalam pembelajaran menulis cerpen dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa dan mengefektifkan waktu belajar siswa. The Flipped Classroom model has an inverted concept, namely flipping activities that are usually done at home to be done at school, and those that are usually done at school to be done at home. By using this model, teachers can direct and supervise students in the short story writing process without time constraints. This study aims to examine the application of the Flipped Classroom model assisted by YouTube content in learning to write short stories and to find out differences in group learning outcomes using the Flipped Classroom model assisted by YouTube content and the ongoing model. This study used a Quasi-Experimental method with a non-equivalent control group design. The population used was class XI students of the UPI Pilot Laboratory High School with samples from class XI MIPA 1 and XI MIPA 3. Data were taken through pretest and posttest as well as questionnaires and observation as support. The results showed that the pretest results of the two classes had a fairly low difference in score, namely the average pretest result for the experimental class was 60 and the control class had an average score of 53. After using the Flipped Classroom model assisted by YouTube content, the average posttest score for the experimental class was 71. The average posttest score of the control class using the direct model is 57. Based on this and the t-test conducted, it can be concluded that there is a significant difference between the ability to write short stories of students in the experimental class and the control class. The Flipped Classroom model assisted by YouTube content in learning to write short stories can improve student learning outcomes and streamline student learning time.
