Abstract

Masalah umum yang sering dihadapi oleh siswa dalam pembelajaran menulis cerita fantasi menjadi dasar penelitian ini dilaksanakan. Faktor internal dan eksternal dari siswa memengaruhi masalah tersebut. Penelitian dilaksanakan dengan tujuan untuk menguji keefektifan model scaffolded writing berbantuan media film animasi dalam pembelajaran menulis cerita fantasi. Penelitian ini dilakukan menggunakan metode eksperimen kuasi dengan nonequivalent control group design. Seluruh siswa kelas VII di SMPN 22 Bandung merupakan populasi penelitian. Sampel penelitian dipilih menggunakan purposive sampling, siswa kelas VII-H sebagai kelas eksperimen dan kelas VII-F sebagai kelas kontrol. Pengumpulan data penelitian menggunakan tes awal, tes akhir, serta angket respons siswa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan nilai rata-rata menulis cerita fantasi kelas eksperimen pada saat tes awal sebesar 62 dan nilai rata-rata menulis cerita fantasi kelas kontrol sebesar 60. Hasil menulis cerita fantasi setelah model scaffolded writing berbantuan media film animasi diterapkan pada kelas eksperimen diperoleh nilai rata-rata sebesar 82. Sementara itu, hasil menulis cerita fantasi dengan metode konvensional di kelas kontrol diperoleh nilai rata-rata sebesar 71. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah uji statistik dengan bantuan program SPSS Statistics versi 26. Hasil analisis data menunjukkan bahwa nilai Sig. (2-tailed) 0,000 < 0,050, artinya Ho ditolak dan Ha diterima. Maka, dapat peneliti simpulkan, adanya perbedaan signifikan antara hasil menulis cerita fantasi siswa di kelas eksperimen dengan kelas kontrol. Dengan demikian, model scaffolded writing berbantuan media film animasi efektif diterapkan dalam kegiatan belajar menulis cerita fantasi. The common problems often faced by students in learning to write fantasy stories are the basis for this research. Internal and external factors from students affect the problem. The research was conducted with the aim of testing the effectiveness of the scaffolded writing model assisted by animated film media in learning to write fantasy stories. This research was conducted using quasi-experimental method with nonequivalent control group design. All seventh-grade students at SMPN 22 Bandung constituted the research population. The research sample was selected using purposive sampling, students of class VII-H as the experimental class and class VII-F as the control class. The research data were collected using initial test, final test, and student response questionnaire. The results showed that the average value of writing fantasy stories of the experimental class during the initial test was 62 and the average value of writing fantasy stories of the control class was 60. The results of writing fantasy stories after the scaffolded writing model assisted by animated film media was applied to the experimental class obtained an average value of 82. Meanwhile, the results of writing fantasy stories with conventional methods in the control class obtained an average value of 71. The data analysis technique used is statistical testing with the help of the SPSS Statistics version 26 program. The results of data analysis show that the Sig. (2-tailed) 0.000 <0.050, meaning Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted. So, researchers can conclude, there is a significant difference between the results of writing students' fantasy stories in the experimental class and the control class. Thus, the scaffolded writing model assisted by animated film media is effectively applied in learning activities to write fantasy stories.
