Abstract
This research was motivated by the lack of students' interest in geometric material which caused students to lack understanding of the concept of geometric properties and nets. This happens because of the lack of availability of media in learning on geometric material that can support students to understand the material. This study aims to develop pop-up book media on geometric material for fifth grade students as a medium that can make it easier for teachers to deliver material and make it easier for students to understand the material. This study uses the Research and Development (R&D) method using the ADDIE model which consists of five stages including analysis, design, development, implementation and evaluation. Data collection techniques in this study were through interviews, observation, documentation studies, expert judgement and questionnaires. Based on the validation results, pop-up book media get a percentage of 84% from material experts in the "very appropriate" category and a percentage of 93% from media experts in the "very feasible" category. As for implementation, the percentage of student responses in the first phase trial was 92.94% in the "very practical" category and the second stage trial received a percentage of 94.46% in the "very practical" category. From these data it shows that the pop-up book media that has been developed is very feasible and very practical to use in learning mathematics in geometric materials in elementary schools.
