Abstract

This study aims to produce an analytical description of On the Job Training (OJT) in improving Aviation Security performance as well as user perceptions of Aviation Security performance graduates of the Bandung National Aviation Education and Training Institute. Case studies are used as a research design in order to conduct an in-depth investigation of a case, in this case how the On the Job Training learning program improves Aviation Security performance and user perceptions of the performance of graduates of the Bandung National Aviation Education and Training Institute. The case study research design includes steps, namely: (1) determining and describing research questions; (2) selecting and determining research designs and instruments; (3) determining data collection techniques and conducting data collection activities; (4) making data analysis; (5) preparing the final research report. The results of interviews and observations found that the On the Job Training Learning Program is very beneficial for students, especially because by participating in On the Job Training, participants can improve their quality, namely: more confident, stronger in facing problems, can work with teams, and calmer at work. These factors support the performance aspects of On the Job Training participants. The next result is the user's perception of the performance of Aviation Security graduates of the National Aviation Education and Training Institute. The theoretical basis used is Experiential Learning Theory which is relevant to the On the Job Training Learning Program. The usefulness of this research can be knowledge to educators about the implementation of On the Job Training learning activities organized by an education and training institution and the good performance aspects that result.
