Abstract

The development of industry 4.0 in the world of education is required to make a change in strengthening the learning process, especially at SMA 15 Bandung. The purpose of this research is to determine the effect of Minecraft application-based learning media on student motivation. The research method used in this study is a quasi-experimental quantitative type. The results of this study are: 1) Based on the results of the hypothesis test in the control class it shows that 0.687 > 0.05 then Ha is accepted or means that there is no significant difference in learning motivation before and after treatment in the control class. 2) Based on the results of the hypothesis test in the experimental class it shows that 0.041 <0.05 then Ho is accepted or means that there is a significant difference in learning motivation before and after treatment in the experimental class. 3) The use of Minecraft application-based learning media has an important role in learning geography. In accordance with the simple linear regression test that has been carried out, a determination coefficient value of 0.214 is obtained, which means that the effect of the Minecraft application media on learning motivation is 21%. Based on the results of the research, recommendations for further research are. 1) the use of PowerPoint media is not suitable, it is advisable to be more selective in choosing learning media so that students can interact and can see the material presented by the teacher. 2). the use of learning media is recommended to use interactive media and be able to see the display of material presented by the teacher to increase student learning motivation 3) Learning motivation will be maximized if during the learning process you get extra supervision and control to students so that the learning process can run Good.
