Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatar belakangi oleh pentingnya penerapan self-help dalam pembentukan keterampilan dan kesejahteraan peserta didik dalam menghadapi kondisi perundungan yang terjadi disekolah. self-help menunjukkan bahwa peserta didik dengan kemampuan self-help yang tinggi mampu mengatasi situasi perundungan yang terjadi disekolah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengukur tingkatan self-help peserta didik. Hasil penelitian diharapkan dapat membantu mengembangkan self-help yang dimiliki oleh peserta didik dalam menghadapi perilaku perundungan (bullying) di sekolah. Statistika Deskriptif digunakan sebagai metode penelitian dengan desain cross-sectional survey design. Partisipas penelitian berjumlah 357 orang Peserta didik kelas VIII. Instrumen self-help perilaku perundungan mengacu pada teori Jacobs dan Goodman (1989) yang dianalisis menggunakan aplikasi IBM SPSS Statistics 22.0. Hasil penelitian menunjukan tingkatan self-help perilaku perundungan kelas VIII di SMP “X” Kota Bandung secara umum berada pada kategori very positive. Dampak dari tingkatan very positive bahwa self-help kelas VIII di SMP “X” berhasil mengembangkan aspek kesadaran diri (self-awareness), fleksibilitas (flexibility), perencanaan (planning), dan fokus (focus), namun kurang menyentuh pada aspek kontrol diri (self-control) yang mengartikan perlunya difokuskan untuk ditingkatkan pada aspek kontrol diri (self-control) dengan menggunakan layanan konseling individual. Kata Kunci: Self-help, Perundungan, Peserta Didik, Sekolah, Konseling. This research is motivated by the importance of implementing self-help in building the skills and welfare of students in dealing with bullying conditions that occur in schools. Self-help shows that students with high self-help abilities are able to overcome bullying situations that occur at school. This study aims to measure the level of self-help students. The results of the research are expected to help develop students' self-help in dealing with bullying behavior at school. Descriptive statistics are used as a research method with a cross-sectional survey design. The research participants totaled 357 Class VIII students. The self-help instrument for behavior of bullying refers to the theory of Jacobs and Goodman (1989) which was analyzed usingIBM SPSS Statistics 22.0 application. The research results show tIn general, the level of self-help behavior of class VIII bullying at SMP "X" Bandung City is in the very positive category. The impact of the very positive level is that class VIII self-help at SMP "X" has succeeded in developing aspects of self-awareness, flexibility, planning, and focus, but does not touch on aspects of self-control (self-control) which means the need to focus on improving aspects of self-control (self-control) by using individual counseling services.
