    Abstract

    Penelitian dilatarbelakangi oleh fenomena banyaknya mahasiswa yang menghadapi kesulitan dalam menentukan keputusan karier dan ini berkontribusi pada tingginya tingkat pengangguran di kalangan lulusan sarjana. Salah satu penyebabnya adalah ketidakmatangan karier. Salah satu faktor yang memengaruhi kematangan karier adalah locus of control. Locus of control mencerminkan sejauh mana seseorang yakin bahwa usaha yang mereka lakukan berperan dalam mencapai kesuksesan dalam karier. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan perbedaan kematangan karier mahasiswa ditinjau dari locus of control dan merancang program layanan untuk meningkatkan kematangan kariernya. Pendekatan penelitian yang digunakan adalah pendekatan kuantitatif dengan desain survey. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah mahasiswa S1 Bimbingan dan Konseling FIP UPI angkatan 2020 s.d 2022. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa (1) terdapat perbedaan kematangan karier antara mahasiswa kecenderungan locus of control internal dan mahasiswa kecenderungan locus of control eksternal; dan (2) skor kematangan karier mahasiswa kecenderungan locus of control internal lebih tinggi dibandingkan mahasiswa kecenderungan locus of control eksternal. Oleh karena itu, layanan bimbingan dan konseling dirancang untuk meningkatkan kematangan karier mahasiswa.
    The research is motivated by the phenomenon of many students facing difficulties in making career decisions and this contributes to the high level of unemployment among undergraduate graduates. One of the reasons is career immaturity. One of the factors that influences career maturity is locus of control. Locus of control reflects the extent to which a person believes that the effort they make plays a role in achieving career success. This research aims to describe differences in student career maturity in terms of locus of control and design service programs to increase their career maturity. The research approach used is a quantitative approach with a survey design. The population in this study were undergraduate students of Guidance and Counseling at FIP UPI class 2020 to 2022. The results of the study showed that (1) there were differences in career maturity between students with an internal locus of control tendency and students with an external locus of control tendency; and (2) the career maturity scores of students with an internal locus of control tendency are higher than students with an external locus of control tendency. Therefore, guidance and counseling services are designed to increase student career maturity.
