Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengatasi permasalahan yang peneliti dapatkan yaitu rendahnya literasi sains siswa sekolah dasar di Indonesia, banyak yang memperngaruhi rendahnya literasi sains yaitu kurangnya alat yang dapat mendukung seperti sumber belajar atau media pembelajaran pada saat pembelajaran IPA, guru jarang menyangkutpautkan keterampilan literasi sains dalam pembelajaran IPA, condong terpaku pada buku ajar saja dan masih keterbatasan dalam membuat media pembelajaran yang interaktif dan berorientasi pada abad 21. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan media SISPENSIA yang layak serta dapat diimplementasikan pada pembelajaran guna meningkatan literasi sains siswa kelas V Sekolah Dasar. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah Design and Development (D&D) dengan prosedur penelitian ADDIE. Pengembangan ini dilakukan untuk menilai produk mengenai kelayakannya apabila dijadikan media pembelajaran. Hasil persentase yang diperoleh dari validasi ahli materi sebesar 97,5%, valiadasi ahli materi sebesar 99,2%, dan validasi praktisi pembelajaran sebesar 100%. Hal tersebut menunjukkan bahwa pengembangan media SISPENSIA mendapatkan kategori Sangat Layak. Berdasarkan hasil pretest dan posttest yang telah dilakukan menandakan bahwa media SISPENSIA yang dikembangkan oleh peneliti dengan sasaran siswa kelas V ini efektif digunakan dalam proses pembelajaran upaya untuk meningkatkan literasi sains siswa dengan hasil peningkatan dari rata-rata posttest dikurangi pretest sebesar 44%. Maka dapat dinyatakan bahwa media SISPENSIA yang dikembangkan sangat layak untuk dijadikan sebagai sumber pembelajaran materi sistem pencernaan manusia untuk meningkatkan literasi sains siswa kelas V Sekolah Dasar. This research aims to overcome the problem that researchers found, namely the low scientific literacy of elementary school students in Indonesia, many of which influence the low scientific literacy, namely the lack of tools that can support such as learning resources or learning media when learning science, teachers rarely link scientific literacy skills in learning. Science tends to be focused on textbooks only and there are still limitations in creating learning media that are interactive and oriented towards the 21st century. This research aims to develop SISPENSIA media that is feasible and can be implemented in learning to increase the scientific literacy of fifth grade elementary school students. The research method used is Design and Development (D&D) with the ADDIE research procedure. This development is carried out to assess the product regarding its feasibility when used as a learning medium. The percentage results obtained from material expert validation were 97.5%, material expert validation was 99.2%, and learning practitioner validation was 100%. This shows that the development of SISPENSIA media is in the Very Eligible category. Based on the results of the pretest and posttest that have been carried out, it indicates that the SISPENSIA media developed by researchers targeting class V students is effectively used in the learning process to increase students' scientific literacy with results of an increase in the average posttest minus pretest of 44%. So it can be stated that the SISPENSIA media developed is very suitable to be used as a learning resource for material on the human digestive system to increase the scientific literacy of fifth grade elementary school students.
