Abstract

ABSTRAK Abdul Nu’man Asok (2023) Kemampuan Pemecahan Masalah Matematis Siswa SMA Kelas X Berdasarkan Disposisi Matematis dan Gender. Disposisi matematis adalah salah satu kemampuan yang penting dalam pemecahan masalah matematis. Namun pada kenyataannya masih banyak siswa yang masih dibawah rata-rata siswa pada umumnya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa berdasarkan disposisi matematis dan gender. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode deskriptif pendekatan kualitatif. Subjek penelitian ini yaitu siswa kelas X dan dilakukan di salah satu SMA Boarding School di Kabupaten Bandung. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah kelas X IPA yang terdiri dari 20 siswa. Teknik pengumpulan data melalui pemberian angket disposisi matematis, pemberian tes kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis dan wawancara. Data yang sudah terkumpul dianalisis dengan menggunakan konsep Miles dan Huberman, yakni tahap reduksi data, penyajian data dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) Siswa yang memiliki disposisi yang tinggi memperoleh kemampuan pemecahan masalah yang tinggi, siswa yang memiliki disposisi yang sedang meperoleh kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis yang sedang dan siswa yang memiliki disposisi yang rendah memperoleh kemampuan pemecahan masalah yang rendah (2) Kemampuan pemecahan masalah subjek laki-laki tidak lebih baik daripada kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis subjek perempuan (3) Adanya perbedaan tingkat kemampuan pemecahan masalah dan disposisi matematis pada laki-laki dan perempuan. Siswa perempuan dengan disposisi matematis tinggi memiliki kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis yang lebih baik daripada siswa laki-laki dengan disposisi matematis yang tinggi. Siswa perempuan dengan disposisi matematis sedang memiliki kemampuan pemecahan masalah yang lebih baik daripada siswa laki-laki dengan disposisi matematis sedang. Sedangkan siswa perempuan dengan disposisi matematis yang rendah tidak berbeda jauh dengan siswa laki-laki dengan disposisi matematis rendah. ABSTRACT Abdul Nu’man Asok (1906762) Mathematical Problem Solving Ability in 10th grade of Senior High School Student’ based on Mathematical Disposition and Gender Mathematical disposition is one of the essential abilities in solving mathematical problems. But in reality, there are still many students who are still below the average student in general. This study aims to describe students' mathematical problem-solving abilities based on mathematical dispositions and gender. The method used in this research is a descriptive qualitative approach. The subjects of this research were students of class X, and it was conducted at one of the Boarding School High Schools in Bandung Regency. The subjects in this study were class X IPA which consisted of 20 students. Data collection techniques through the provision of mathematical disposition questionnaires, giving tests of mathematical problem-solving abilities and interviews. The data collected is analyzed using the concept of Miles and Huberman, namely the stages of data reduction, data presentation and conclusion. The results of the study show that: (1) Students who have high dispositions obtain high problem-solving abilities, students who have moderate dispositions acquire moderate mathematical problem-solving abilities and students who have low dispositions obtain low problem-solving abilities (2) The problem-solving abilities of the male subjects were not better than the mathematical problem-solving abilities of the female subjects (3) There are differences in the levels of problem-solving abilities and mathematical dispositions in men and women. Female students with high mathematical dispositions have better mathematical problem-solving abilities than male students with high mathematical dispositions. Female students with moderate mathematical dispositions have better problem-solving abilities than male students with moderate mathematical dispositions. Meanwhile, female students with low mathematical dispositions were similar to male students with low mathematical dispositions.
