Abstract

Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui pengaruh kompetensi moral terhadap penerimaan sosial remaja pada umumnya kepada remaja berkebutuhan khusus. Penelitian menggunakan metode kuantitatif korelasional. Responden adalah 395 remaja berusia 12 sampai 18 tahun yang diambil dengan teknik pengambilan sampel non-probabilitas yaitu teknik sampling insidental. Pengambilan data menggunakan Instrumen Kompetensi Moral yang disusun oleh peneliti berdasarkan teori Kompetensi Moral Park & Peterson (2006) dengan reliabilitas r = 0.941, dan Instrumen Penerimaan Sosial yang disusun peneliti berdasarkan teori Parker & Asher (1993) dengan reliabilitas r = 0.858. Teknik analisis regresi sederhana digunakan untuk mengukur hubungan antara kompetensi moral dengan penerimaan sosial. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh kompetensi moral terhadap penerimaan sosial. Berdasarkan hasil tersebut disimpulkan bahwa kompetensi moral diperlukan agar remaja dapat menerima keberadaan remaja berkebutuhan khusus di sekitarnya sehingga remaja berkebutuhan khusus bisa memenuhi tugas perkembangannya sebagaimana mestinya. Kata Kunci: kompetensi moral, penerimaan sosial, remaja, remaja berkebutuhan khusus This research aims to investigate the influence of moral competence on the social acceptance of adolescent towards their peers with special needs. The study used a quantitative correlational method, involved 395 respondents between 12 and 18 years, and used a non-probability sampling as a sampling technique with an accidental sampling method. This research used Moral Competence Questionnaire based on Park & Peterson's theory, with a reliability of 0.941, and Social Acceptance Questionnaire based on Parker & Asher's theory, with a reliability of 0.858. Simple regression analysis was used and the result showed a significant impact of moral competence on social acceptance. Based on these results, it can be concluded that moral competence is essential for adolescents to accept the presence of their peers with special needs so that adolescents with special needs can fulfilling their developmental tasks more effectively.
