Abstract
Kemampuan komunikasi matematis merupakan kemampuan dasar yang harus dioptimalkan dalam membentuk kemampuan matematis lainnya. Hasil studi pendahuluan menunjukkan bahwa pada proses pembelajaran geometri khususnya materi transformasi di jenjang perguruan tinggi diperoleh mahasiswa cenderung belum terbiasa untuk mengkonstruksi sendiri pengetahuannya dalam menemukan konsep baru dan keterlibatan penggunaan teknologi dalam proses konstruksi konsep masih sangat kurang. Akibatnya, mahasiswa belum mampu mengembangkan kemampuan komunikasi matematis serta menumbuhkan self-efficacy mahasiswa calon guru dalam proses pembelajaran. Berdasarkan pengalaman mahasiswa pada hasil studi pendahuluan tersebut didesainlah aktivitas pembelajaran. Penelitian ini bertujuan menghasilkan desain model project-based learning (PjBL) berbasis MOODLE yang memenuhi kriteria valid, praktis dan efektif. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pengembangan. Pengembangan menggunakan model Plomp. Pengembangan dilakukan dalam 3 tahap. Tahap pertama dilakukan penelitian pendahuluan (preliminary research). Tahap kedua yaitu pembuatan prototype (prototyping phase). Tahap ketiga yaitu tahap penilaian (assessment phase). Subyek penelitian ini adalah 68 mahasiswa Program Studi Pendidikan Matematika yang mengambil matakuliah geometri transformasi di FKIP Universitas Bengkulu. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah wawancara, observasi, angket dan tes. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa desain model PjBL berbasis MOODLE sudah valid, praktis dan efektif. Valid dari segi isi, bahasa, penyajian dan tampilan. Praktis dari segi daya tarik, proses penggunaan, kemudahan penggunaan, alokasi waktu dan ekivalensi produk. Hasil tes kemampuan komunikasi matematis mahasiswa menunjukkan sebanyak 78% mahasiswa memperoleh nilai lebih dari 70 dan hasil uji one mean t-test memperoleh nilai sig 0,000 < 0,05 = alpha serta sebanyak 67 mahasiswa memiliki self-efficacy tinggi dan sedang. Artinya efektif dari segi dampak positif terhadap kemampuan komunikasi matematis mahasiswa serta dapat membentuk self-efficacy mahasiswa dalam pembelajaran geometri transformasi. Mathematical communication skills are basic abilities that must be optimized to form other mathematical abilities. The results of the preliminary study showed that, in the process of learning geometry especially transformation material at the tertiary level, students tended not to be accustomed to constructing their knowledge by discovering new concepts, and the involvement of technology in the concept construction process was still low. As a result, students were not able to develop mathematical communication skills and to foster student-teacher self-efficacy in the learning process. Learning activities were designed based on the students' experiences with the preliminary study results. This study aims to design a MOODLE-based of project-based learning (PjBL) model that meets the valid, practical, and effective criteria. This research was designed as a Research and Development by using the Plomp model. The research was carried out based on three stages: The first stage was conducting preliminary research; The second stage was making a prototype (prototyping phase);The third stage was the assessment phase. The subjects of this study were 68 students of the Mathematics Education Study Program who took the transformation geometry course at the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, Bengkulu University. The data collection techniques were interviews, observations, questionnaires, and tests. The study results showed that the MOODLE-based of PjBL model design is valid, practical, and effective. The validity was in the terms of content, language, presentation, and appearance. The practicallity was in the attractiveness, the process of use, ease of use, time allocation, and product equivalence. The students' mathematical communication ability tests showed that 78% scored more than 70, and the results of the one mean t-test hypothesis obtained sig 0.000 < 0.05 = alpha. As many as 67 students had high and moderate self-efficacy. This study's results mean that it is effective in positively impacting students' mathematical communication skills and can form student self-efficacy in learning transformation geometry.
