Abstract

ABSTRAK Yuke Naelatus Saadah, 1907006. (2023). Program Bimbingan Pribadi Sosial untuk Mengembangkan Empati Siswa SMP. Dibimbing oleh Dr. Mamat Supriatna, M.Pd. dan Dr. Yaya Sunarya, M.Pd. Program Studi Magister Bimbingan dan Konseling. Fakultas Ilmu Pendidikan. Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia. Empati adalah kemampuan siswa Kelas VIII SMP Tunas Unggul Bandung Tahun Ajaran 2022/2023 yang mencakup aspek-aspek kognitif dan afektif dalam merasakan, menerima, menempatkan dan melibatkan diri pada perasaan atau pengalaman orang lain sehingga menimbulkan perasaan menghargai perasaan orang lain dan mengkomunikasikan hingga menunjukkan sungguh-sungguh mengerti perasaan orang lain tanpa menghilangkan jati diri. Upaya yang dapat dilakukan untuk mengembangkan empati siswa dengan merancang program bimbingan pribadi sosial. Penyelenggaraan bimbingan pribadi sosial didasari pada upaya memfasilitasi siswa agar mampu mengembangkan potensi dirinya atau mencapai tugas-tugas perkembangannya. Tujuan penelitian adalah menggambarkan secara empirik profil empati siswa SMP dan implikasinya terhadap layanan bimbingan pribadi sosial di SMP Tunas Unggul Bandung Tahun Ajaran 2022/2023. Hasil Penelitian menunjukkan: (1) sebagian besar siswa memiliki empati pada kategori sedang; (2) program bimbingan pribadi sosial disusun berdasarkan hasil penelitian berkenaan dengan profil empati siswa yang telah diperoleh. Rekomendasi diberikan kepada guru bimbingan dan konseling agar mencoba mengimplementasikan program bimbingan pribadi sosial untuk mengembangkan empati, dan kepada peneliti selanjutnya agar dapat meneliti empati dari faktor-faktor lainnya. Empathy is the ability of Grade VIII students SMP Tunas Unggul Bandung Academic Year 2022/2023 which includes cognitive and affective aspects of feeling, accepting, placing and involving oneself in the feelings or experiences of other people so as to create feelings of respect for the feelings of others and communicate to show truly understanding the feelings of others without losing one's identity. Efforts that can be made to develop student empathy by designing personal social guidance programs. The implementation of personal social guidance is based on efforts to facilitate students so that they are able to develop their potential or achieve their developmental tasks. The aim of this research is to describe empirically the profile of empathy for junior high school students and the implications for social personal guidance services at SMP Tunas Unggul Bandung Academic Year 2022/2023. The research results show: (1) most students have empathy in the medium category; (2) social personal guidance programs are prepared based on the results of research regarding the profile of student empathy that has been obtained. Recommendations are given to guidance and counseling teachers to try to implement social personal guidance programs to develop empathy, and to future researchers to be able to examine empathy from other factors.
