Abstract

Penelitian ini berkaitan dengan kompetensi komunikasi interpersonal yang dilakukan oleh pendamping pada istri korban kekerasan dalam rumah tangga di Yayasan JaRI. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui kompetensi komunikasi interpersonal pendamping pada istri korban kekerasan dalam rumah tangga. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode studi kasus dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Informan utama dalam penelitian ini adalah pendamping Yayasan JaRI sebanyak empat orang, sedangkan informan pendukung terdiri dari empat orang yaitu ketua divisi pendampingan Yayasan JaRI, hotline service Yayasan JaRI dan dua orang penyintas kekerasan dalam rumah tangga. Temuan dari penelitian ini adalah bahwa kompetensi komunikasi interpersonal yang dilakukan pendamping kepada istri korban kekerasan dalam rumah tangga di Yayasan JaRI sudah memenuhi aspek berdasarkan poin yang diteliti dari kompetensi komunikasi interpersonal yaitu empati, pemulihan sosial, ketegasan, altersentrisme, manajemen interaksi, ekspresif, suportif, kedekatan, kontrol lingkungan dan keterbukaan. This research relates to the interpersonal communication competence carried out by the companion of the wife of a victim of domestic violence at the JaRI Foundation. The purpose of this study was to determine the competence of interpersonal communication of companions to wives of victims of domestic violence. The research method used in this study is a case study method with a qualitative approach. Data collection is done by interview, observation, and documentation. The main informants in this study were the assistants of the JaRI Foundation as many as four people, while the supporting informants consisted of four people, namely the head of the assistance division of the JaRI Foundation, the JaRI Foundation hotline service, and two survivors of domestic violence. The findings of this study are that the interpersonal communication competence carried out by the companion to the wife of the victim of domestic violence at the JaRI Foundation has fulfilled the aspects based on the points studied of the interpersonal communication competence, namely empathy, social relaxation, assertiveness, altercentrism, interaction management, expressiveness, supportiveness, immediacy, environmental control and self-disclosure.
