Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan instrumen Five-Tier Heat and Temperature Diagnostic Test (5T-HTDT) yang dapat mengidentifikasi miskonsepsi dan penyebab miskonsepsi siswa SMA. Instrumen 5T-HTDT yang dikembangkan terdiri dari 12 butir soal. Metode yang dilakukan pada penelitian ini menggunakan model 3D+1I (Defining, Designing, Developing, and Implementating). Jumlah sampel dalam penelitian ini sebanyak 191 siswa (109 perempuan dan 82 laki-laki) yang dipilih dengan menggunakan teknik purposive sampling pada siswa kelas XI SMAN di Kecamatan Kuningan, Kabupaten Kuningan yang sudah mempelajari materi suhu dan kalor. Hasil uji validitas konstruk dan isi diperoleh nilai koefisien Aiken pada 11 butir soal lebih dari 0,90 dan 1 butir soal kurang dari 0,90. Hasil uji validitas empiris yang dianalisis menggunakan rasch model diperoleh nilai raw variance dan nilai unexplned variance sebesar 30,8% dan 11,8%, nilai Outfit MNSQ dan Outfit ZSTD setiap butir soal memenuhi kriteria, nilai cronbach alpha sebesar 0,68%, tingkat kesukaran soal terdistribusi dengan baik. Sehingga dapat disimpulkan dari penelitian ini diperoleh 11 butir soal pada instrumen 5T-HTDT yang dapat mengidentifikasi miskonsepsi dan penyebabnya. Hasil penelitian pada sampel yang diuji, level konsepsi siswa pada materi suhu dan kalor berada pada kategori miskonsepsi, yaitu sebesar 47,45%, dengan miskonsepsi tertinggi pada konsep perubahan wujud zat sebesar 66,49%. Penyebab miskonsepsi tertinggi disebabkan oleh pemikiran pribadi (MC-PT) sebesar 45,31%. This study aims to develop a Five-Tier Heat and Temperature Diagnostic Test (5T-HTDT) instrument that can identify misconceptions and causes of misconceptions in high school students. The developed 5T-HTDT instrument consists of 12 questions. The method used in this study uses the 3D + 1I model (Defining, Designing, Developing, and Implementing). The number of samples in this study were 191 students (109 girls and 82 boys) who were selected using a purposive sampling technique in class XI SMAN students in Kuningan District, Kuningan Regency who had studied the topic of temperature and heat. The results of the construct and content validity test obtained Aiken's coefficient values on 11 items more than 0.90 and 1 item less than 0.90. The empirical validity test results analyzed using the Rasch model obtained raw variance values and unexplained variance values of 30.8% and 11.8%, Outfit MNSQ and Outfit ZSTD values for each item fulfilling the criteria, Cronbach alpha value of 0.68%, level the difficulty of the questions is well distributed. So it can be concluded from this study that 11 items were obtained on the 5T-HTDT instrument which could identify misconceptions and their causes. The results of the research on the samples tested, the level of students' conceptions of the material temperature and heat is in the category of misconceptions, which is equal to 47.45%, with the highest misconception in the concept of changes in the state of matter of 66.49%. The highest cause of misconceptions is caused by personal thoughts (MC-PT) of 45.31%.
