Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh adanya bukti bahwa hasil belajar IPA siswa itu rendah karena pembelajaran dan penilaiannya hanya berorientasi pada penguasaan hafalan saja. Oleh karena itu perlu adanya suatu pembelajaran dan penilaian pembelajaran yang tidak hanya fokus pada penguasaan hafalan tapi mencakup semua ranah kognitif, afektif dan psikomotor. Asesmen portofolio merupakan suatu penilaian komprehensif yang mampu mencakup ranah kognitif, afektif dan psikomotor. Maka dari itu tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan serta melihat efektivitas penggunaan asesmen portofolio dalam peningkatan hasil belajar IPA siswa. Metode yang digunakan yaitu mixed method yang menggabungkan antara pendekatan kualitatif dengan pendekatan kuantitatif. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui observasi, wawancara, dokumentasi dan juga tes. Analisis datanya meliputi dua tahap, tahap pertama analisis kualitatif dan tahap kedua analisis kuantitatif dengan menggunakan rasch model berbantuan aplikasi winstep. Hasil penelitian menunjukan asesmen portofolio yang dilaksanakan di sekolah baru hanya berupa kumpulan tugas yang penilaiannya belum mengacu pada kriteria penilaian dan belum ada refleksi di dalamnya. Asesmen portofolio yang dilaksanakan dalam penelitian meliputi 3 projek yang pelaksanaanya dimulai dari pengerjaan, refleksi, perbaikan dan refleksi. Hasil tes awal (pretest) dan tes akhir (posttest) dihitung dan dibandingkan menggunakan racking dan stacking pada rasch model hasilnya menunjukan penggunaan asesmen portofolio efektif menurunkan tingkat kesukaran butir soal dan meningkatkan kemampuan siswa dari yang awal rata-rata kemampuan sebesar -1,88 meningkat menjadi 1,06 pada saat posttest yang berarti asesmen portofolio efektif meningkatkan hasil belajar IPA siswa. This research is motivated by evidence that students' learning outcomes in science are low because learning and assessment only focus on rote mastery. Therefore it is necessary to have a learning and learning assessment that does not only focus on rote mastery but includes all cognitive, affective and psychomotor domains. The assessment portfolio is a comprehensive assessment capable of covering the cognitive, affective and psychomotor domains. Therefore the purpose of this study was to describe and see the effectiveness of using portfolio assessment in improving student learning outcomes in science. The method used is a mixed method that combines a qualitative approach with a quantitative approach. Data collection techniques were carried out through observation, interviews, documentation and tests. The data analysis includes two stages, the first stage is qualitative analysis and the second stage is quantitative analysis using the Rasch model assisted by the WinStep application. The results showed that the assessment portfolio carried out in the new school was only a collection of assignments whose assessment did not refer to the assessment criteria and there was no reflection in it. The assessment portfolio carried out in the research includes 3 projects whose implementation starts from work, reflection, improvement and reflection. The results of the initial test (pretest) and posttest (posttest) are calculated and compared using racking and stacking in the Rasch model. The results show that the use of portfolio assessment is effective in reducing the difficulty level of the items and increasing students' abilities from the initial average ability of -1.88 increasing to 1.06 at the time of the posttest which means that portfolio assessment is effective in improving students' science learning outcomes.
