Abstract

ABSTRAK Stunting menjadi permasalahan pelik di Indonesia, keterlambatan tumbuh kembang yang anak alami akan berdampak buruk bagi keberlangsungan tumbuh kembangnya. Stunting merupakan manifestasi kegagalan pertumbuhan (growth faltering) yang dimulai sejak dalam kandungan hingga anak berusia 2 tahun. Posyandu serentak yang dilaksanakan di desa Sarwadadi mengindikasikan banyaknya anak yang mengalami stunting pada rentang usia 4-5 tahun. Pada usia tersebut, mayoritas anak akan menghabiskan waktunya untuk bertumbuh kembang di sekolah, sehingga peran guru sangat dibutuhkan bukan hanya mediator pembelajaran bagi anak namun juga merangkap peran sebagai garda terdepan pencegahan stunting. Penelitian ini berfokus pada peran guru dalam upaya pencegahan stunting yang dilakukan di sekolah. Tujuan dari penelitian untuk mengetahui peran guru dalam upaya pencegahan stunting di sekolah berikut kendala yang dialami guru serta upaya mengatasi kendala tersebut. Penelitian ini dikemas dengan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode deskriptif. Teknik pengumpulan data dengan cara pengamatan secara langsung, wawancara dan . Analisis data penelitian ini berdasarkan Miles dan Huberman yakni : reduksi data, data display dan penarikan kesimpulan . Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa adanya peran guru dalam upaya pencegahan stunting di sekolah sangat penting dilaksanakan, dengan melaksanakan program seperti yang RA Abata Sarwadadi laksanakan seperti peran guru dalam Pemberian Makan Tambahan (PMT) adalah sebagai leader, innovator, motivator, dan fasilitator. Peran guru dalam Deteksi Dini Tumbuh Kembang (DDTK) adalah sebagai administrator, kolaborator dan koordinator, peran guru dalam Sosialisasi upaya pencegahan stunting pada orang tua adalah sebagai fasilitator, promotor kesehatan, dan administrator. Terakhir peran guru dalam kegiatan kebugaran sebagai fasilitator dan instruktur/demonstrator. Kesimpulan dalam penelitian ini adalah pentingnya bagi guru untuk memahami perannya guna turut serta mensukseskan upaya pencegahan stunting pada Lembaga Anak Usia Dini. ABSTRACT Stunting is a complicated problem in Indonesia, delays in growth and development that children experience will have a negative impact on the continuity of their growth and development. Stunting is a manifestation of growth failure (growth faltering) which starts in the womb until the child is 2 years old. Simultaneous Posyandu held in Sarwadadi village indicated that many children were stunted in the age range of 4-5 years. At this age, the majority of children will spend their time growing and developing at school, so the role of teachers is very much needed, not only as a learning mediator for children but also as a front guard in stunting prevention. This research focuses on the teacher's role in efforts to prevent stunting in schools. The aim of the research is to determine the role of teachers in efforts to prevent stunting in schools along with the obstacles experienced by teachers and efforts to overcome these obstacles. This research is packed with a qualitative approach with descriptive methods. Data collection techniques by way of direct observation, interviews and . The analysis of this research data is based on Miles and Huberman namely: data reduction, data display and conclusion drawing. The results of this research show that the role of teachers in efforts to prevent stunting in schools is very important, by implementing programs such as those implemented by RA Abata Sarwadadi, such as the role of teachers in Supplementary Feeding (PMT) as leaders, innovators, motivators and facilitators. The role of teachers in Early Detection of Growth and Development (DDTK) is as administrator, collaborator and coordinator, the role of teachers in socializing efforts to prevent stunting among parents is as facilitator, health promoter and administrator. Finally, the teacher's role in fitness activities is as a facilitator and instructor/demonstrator. The conclusion of this research is that it is important for teachers to understand their role in order to participate in the success of stunting prevention efforts in Early Childhood Institutions.
